    Good luck with this project. I will come visit sometime this summer.

    A few things;
    - the sections do not represent the "sloped" walls of the trenches to "prevent cave ins"
    - I still worry about the moisture needs of a greenhouse with this sort of round-log foundation
    - hopefully you document these details, especially the wool insulation

    cheers,
    Tim

    It looks beautiful and quite "beefy". Handling these enormous logs would be well beyond my ability, but the principles feel very sound. Because of the weight of the roof, I don't supposed it could be 'downsized' safely?

    You will need machinery.

    I think one person can do it without machinery.  A person could set up a tall tripod, or a gin pole or something similar.  We happened to have an excavator.

    What is the purpose of the open wrap around the wapiti?  It seems like you would want the dirt/ground against 3 sides for better temperature control.    The propped up open semi-circle seems like a lot of work for an unknown benefit.  Am I missing something?

    Hi Guys, that looks great. Can I ask where exactly in Montana that is? My partner has built an earth ship based on one from the US and then realized that we had nowhere near the amount of sunny days. So it retains some heat, but needed a proper stove to survive Polish winter. Would love to replicate your greenhouse but need to compare sunny days not to repeat our past errors
