On the Kickstarter Preview, there's a button at the top left that says "Notify me on launch" for anyone who doesn't want to miss the earlybird goodies

x last updates to earlybird image for the ks page
x get final video up on youtube as unlisted
- set description, thumbnail and endscreen for youtube video
- finish rewards from last kickstarter
       o hugelkultur book - alpha
       o fallacy book - alpha
- get banners made
       o for permies forums
       o for permies home page
       o for richsoil pages
- go through the kickstarter page looking for typos, bad grammar, etc.
- create FAQ

What is an f-code?  I Googled it and it could be mental health diagnosis code... but that's probably not what you mean.

If you join our affiliate program here on permies, you are assigned an f-code

F-codes are the spiffy number here on permies that you can tag onto a digital market link, that allows you to get money when someone buys through the link. It's also the number that allows you to sell things here on permies.

Here's more info on affliliate links: https://permies.com/forums/affiliate/list#console

You can also get set up for an f-code/affiliate code through your My Stuff link at the top of the screen.

I have no idea why it's called an F code. It's just the shiny number you get that you tag on to a link so the system knows when someone buys through your link.

Say I wanted to tell people about the three Sepp Holzer Documentaries that we now offer. I could share this link:

https://permies.com/wiki/141614/videos/Sepp-Holzer-Permaculture-documentaries-Farming

OR, I could share the one with my "f-code" in it:

https://permies.com/wiki/141614f100/videos/Sepp-Holzer-Permaculture-documentaries-Farming

And, if someone thinks the videos look cool (and they really are great videos!), and clicks the link with my f-code in it, I get paid  the affiliate percentage, which (in the case of these movies) is 50% !

Anyone can do that. Anyone can get an affiliate number (f-code) and get paid when someone buys through their link. Think of it as kind of Paul's way of paying people for spreading the word!

Some updates to the kickstarter video.  I think it is all done.  This is the youtube version which still needs end screens.

The initial view before it starts playing is kind of awkward looking.  It's Mike's greenhouse with a bunch of tomatoes superimposed on it.  That view isn't repeated in the movie that I can tell.  Is that intentional or could it be replaced with a bit of Nicole's pretty artwork?

I need to set the "thumbnail" for youtube.  For now, that is the default.

Extremely well done - kudos to all - this looks really ready to rock!

Suggestion/comment: what if there were a level between the 200 & 500, say 250 or 350 or such that added a PDC certification upon submission of design to Wheaton labs - maybe a build of their own wofati greenhouse?? Encourage more active world domination participation!!!

A last minute idea here for the goodies - what about the 3 Mike Oehler videos in the 100 or 200 level? The books are there, but maybe the videos would be a good for those who want to see the "roots" (pun intended!) of the project?

I just realized I won't be home at 2 PM Mountain Time tomorrow.  Is there any reason I couldn't wait till evening to sign up or is there a reason to make sure I do it as close to 2 PM as possible?

Lif, I don't think there's any reason why you have to do it close to 2:00pm. It IS exciting watching the numbers go up when the kickstarter goes life, but by no means necessary! You just want to make sure to support during the Early Bird window, which lasts until Thursday at 2:00pm
