Dealing with not your favourite foods  - I can start us off with two.

Kale (that's cattle feed in my book)   mix the cooked kale with a good dab of coconut oil.  - makes it so much easier to scrape into the compost bin.

Zucchini / courgettes -  how to stuff.   Place the veg. behind the back tire of the car.  Put vehicle into reverse and drive slowly over it.  Hey presto, it's stuffed.  (That's from my Bro. who hated the very sight of them,  me not so much but it was a good laugh.)

Best way to eat a carp:

Secret Family Recipe:
Keep fish whole, nail to cedar plank with iron nails, season well and leave in sun to dry for three days. Remove fish and discard, eat cedar board.

Every day on this side of the grass is a good day. The first on the other side will be even better.

Jill, I'm with you.  My big no-no is raw or steamed Broccoli.  If covered with butter, cheese and panko I can get it to go down, otherwise NOOOOOOO.

Once when I was in the hospital I got dinner which was about 1/2 oz of some meat like stuff with about a half pound of semi steamed broccoli, I wasn't eating well at the time, soooo having a clear shot at the door I passed the time launching heads of broccoli into the hallway, it made me feel a little better !!!

Rusty - on the subject of carp - I once bought one from the market, apparently not alive. Doing my civic duty, feral carp removal from our waterways, one at a time.  Got it home, put it on the bench to scale and fillet it, when it started flopping about.  So much for that!  Wish I had your "recipe" then.
Deane -  I like broccoli - but hate brussels sprouts - only way I can tolerate them is covered in cheese sauce.
Thom - I'm with you on that one.  Tedious to make and worse to eat.
Christopher - I bet you are welcome at many dinner parties!
Tim - you get my apple for today  Everything is better with bacon.

I guess I'm lucky, there isn't a vegetable I won't eat and none that I avoid, been like that since I was kid.

Kyle, I’m with you. I can’t think of a veggie I won’t eat. Guess that’s one of the many reasons that I’m a successful Gert. If I can the grow the thing, I’ll eat it. I just have to come up with the right recipe. If I were fussy I’d have a lot more difficulty being food independent.

They say there is a gene which dictates whether someone will like cilantro.  But maybe my dad and I are weird, because both of us hated it initially but over time, not at the same time, we both came to enjoy it.  First him, then me years later.
