This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Textiles.

For this BB, you will fix a worn buttonhole!

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
 - fix at least one worn buttonhole
 - you may do it by hand or machine

To document your completion of the BB, provide proof of the following as pictures or a video (less than two minutes):
 - the worn buttonhole before repair
 - fixing the buttonhole
 - the repaired buttonhole

I have a kelly green pair of shorts that was just barely starting to fray at the buttonhole. This was happening within two years of purchase, which is unusually quickly. Since I caught it unraveling early, I could just re-do the buttonholing with some thick cotton thread and a needle. Looks much better now, and should prevent the buttonhole from tearing out (which certainly would happen if left in this condition!)

A pair of my shorts needed the buttonhole shored up.  It was unraveling.
It was cleaned up by cutting off loose threads.  Then, mended by hand.
