Save seeds from 6 species of wild plants - foraging.straw.wildseeds PEP BB

Since you can do this BB repeatedly, I'm submitting the following new plants I saved seeds from:
Soft maple
Box elder
Wild grape
Sumac
White birch
Ponderosa pine

Let's do it again!!!

(argh  I forgot I couldn't switch memory cards in the middle..  starting this long post over again...  doh)

First I went to a large untended meadow to collect some plant seeds that will diversify my hard at home and add more rabbit forage to my yard.  

Narrow leaf plantain,  red clover, and curly dock.

Then I explored some shrubby/scrub area behind some residential houses and collected wild native milkweed seeds.  Milkweed flower buds are delicious and look like broccoli.

Lastly, on a hike next to the river I found several kinds of oak trees growing with evergreens.   I collected both red and white acorns to try processing into "coffee" although the squirrels do NOT leave many of the small red ones intact!!  

To document your completion of the BB, provide the following:
- clear image of the wild species
- provide the name of the wild species being harvested
- at least 1/2 teaspoon of seeds harvested from each wild species

Sorry for wasting whomever's time on that last one. I just scraped up all the seeds and mush from the wet paper towel where I'm stratifying the thimbleberry and it just barely made 1/2 tsp and it wasn't all seeds, so I guess you're right. The TBL does make more than 1/2 t with the fluff that's in there, but maybe not if I removed it all carefully -- not sure what the protocol is on bits of chaff. And I could rinse the vermiculite away from the ROD seeds and have way more than 1/2 t, but no point since the thimbleberry was the weakest link.

It appears that I can do this BB multiple times? I have 6 new species!
The buckwheat was found near houses in a wildlife-urban-interface. Now that I think about it, I reckon that the buckwheat volunteered from a neighboring house so perhaps that isn’t wild? I’ve harvested wild California buckwheat from a natural preserve that I can swap in instead.
