Is it possible to make a sticky at the top of each PEP category so that when you click a specific area, the very top thing that comes up is a list of all the things that need to be completed under that heading to get the badge?  For instance, if I click the PEP Gardening link, if the very first thing at the top of the page was the list of all Gardening BB's Gardening BB's, it would be much easier to see what needs to be completed, and find the ones a person has already completed.  As it is now, it brings up whatever thread has been posted to last.  In some categories, the actual criteria for the badge can be buried and kind of hard to find.  Just a thought.

Yes, definitely this.

I was thinking the exact same thing when I was navigating these earlier

A link at the top sounds appropriate.

The link at the top only shows up in desktop view and isn't visible in mobile view.

Personally I hate sticky threads - it's usually an indicator the thread is either annoying or ignorable

Paul's link works as well as a sticky for me.  I wasn't set on the idea of a sticky, just a way for people to be able to find the BBs for a given PEP badge in an efficient manner.  My thought was that the easier it is for people to find the BBs they need to work on a badge, the more participation the PEP program may get.

If you click the badge images or the bold text just under them in R's screen shot it takes you to the badge.  Maybe not the slickest but it gets you there.

FYI, my favorite way to get to any badge is the 22 aspects of PEP thread.  I have it as a favorite on my computer...

My thought, too, I agree with you. Take a look at this: https://permies.com/f/178/

When you mouse over the badges, they should be links to that individual badge, similar to the picture R posted earlier.

Do you primarily use mobile or desktop view?

I recall the current rationale for why the badges are not sticky is to help folks who are approving BB's be able to see the traffic both in the main PEP forum  https://permies.com/f/178/

and in the aspect-subforum: https://permies.com/f/388/pep-gardening (gardening, for instance)

I use both, but I'm moving to using mobile more and more.

Yeah, I don't have a good answer for mobile yet.

(Other than the PEP tracker I built https://permies.com/t/119155/PEP-Badge-Tracker-easier-track)

I'm thinking in the case of PEP, one sticky at the top might not be bad, especially since those in mobile view don't have access to to all the nice links at the top.

I think instead of stickies, we're going to work on getting the links to the badges to appear at the top even on mobile view.

In the meantime, you might also try using desktop view while on mobile (it's not really my thing, but maybe it's great for you?)

I think she's lovely. It's this tiny ad that called her crazy:
