COMING UP ON THE END OF MY TIME HERE//Wife and I have got a damn good start on a nice little permaculture farm here in SE Arizona. passive solar tiny house designed by Aggie [wife] works very nice, water catchment system, small high tunnel, greenhouse ,chicken coop, loafing shed, shop trailer etc///totally off grid but have internet, couple dozen fruit and nut trees and so on.
To put it bluntly I am dying and I need a sensible, capable guy or gal to help out and take over..
We have 3 5 acre pieces 2 of them adjacent and one 1/8 of a mile away good  solar on the developed one..We offer a piece  5 acres of your own land or a full partnership in the whole thing for the right person,
HOPEFULLY i will live another year or two but the big C decides for itself..
There is  an older motor home with us in zone one we use for company and wanted to fix up/easy place to stay forever or till you build your own
Not sure this is the right place for this announcement/if not please put it where it belongs..GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR THE RIGHT GUY.
OR GAL
thanks

I hope you find the right person or people to help you and Aggie there. And I surely hope you are blessed with more time than you expect. <3

You may want to look closer at participants in the SKIP program.  Also, consider looking closer becoming an Otis. These two concepts  work closely together in facilitating the transfer of homesteads, of course, the details are up to you.

Feel free to PM me.

So sorry to hear about your health issue, and have you considered “alternative” treatments? If you are resigned to your fate, I respect that as well. We all have to graduate from life someday, and I admire your pragmatic approach in preparation of that eventuality.

I have been in a committed position as caretaker of a very special place for the last 5 years, a hot spring “resort” in Nevada, just outside of Death Valley. Feel free to message me for contact, resources, or anything else. You are not so far away, and are welcome to visit and enjoy these healing waters to help ease the passage of time.

I don’t foresee leaving here, but who really knows what the future holds. Have a great day, and best wishes to you and yours..

Cougina,

WOW.. 99 years! Congratulations on your journey. I’m sure you have many tales, and much wisdom to share. I wish I could be of service to you and Aggie, but I am completely enmeshed in my life project here. I did refer a young man, who I believe to be of good character and motive, to you. You will find the help that you are seeking, of that I have no doubt. I wish you all the best.

Thank you for your post and what sounds like good stewardship of your place. Its been ten years since I graduated, but the people in and around my master’s program at Prescott College were as good a pool of potential stewards I could think of. I might consider reaching out to some faculty or alumnae there. Let me know if you’d like help with that, though my connections are pretty minimal now ten years after that distance learning program.

cougina and other folks who might be interested:

Otises can send a posting to me by PM (letter icon at the top right of your screen) or PM me for my email address and they can then send it via email.  PMs are rather private but higher level staff people can read them.

To get your name added to this post, add a reply with a paragraph about why you're doing PEP, if you're looking for property, where that property would need to be for you to be happy, size of property, etc so that Otises can determine if you might be a close fit for them.

I hope you are finding what you need. I’m following this thread and wondering what area of SE AZ you are located? The area is interesting to me. Thanks

How is cougina? Is he still with us? Did he find someone to steward the land and help his wife?

This thread is relatively short but I feel very invested in the story!
I hope it worked out :)
