I had an awesome box for one summer as a kid, fridge box, I spent half the summer in my box! It was mostly a castle!! And there were dragons! (that looked like our cats, maybe.)  :D

I had a VW bus with "issues" and if it was still rolling when it died, I could leap out, push it enough, even uphill, to be able to pop the clutch and keep going  :D

Popping the clutch is a useful skill!

Multipurpose drink too, could also pour it on your head to cool off, upset your sisters, or run off a dog.

I got rid of my tape collection years ago, but I’m old enough that making mixed tapes from my vinyl LPs was part of my young life. I still have a vinyl collection (my third.. I swore I’d never start again after the first!), and two portable Crosley players..

Old enough to miss these.. (I hope I posted this correctly!?!)

Why was the corner taped? I went straight from vinal to CD, never owned a cassette or 8-track.

Sprots drink dispenser, when I was a kid.

Blank tapes had little plastic tabs in the corners. When you'd recorded whatever you wanted on the tape, you broke the tabs out and then the record mode couldn't engage. It was a safety thing so you didn't record over your stuff accidentally. If you wanted to record on the tape again, you had to tape over the holes to simulate the plastic tabs.

I remember well the cardboard box our first colour TV came in - flat screens just aren't the same!

Here's one for the Brits amongst us:

Mostly seen in Black and White of course.
