Maybe a bit out of the box for the Earthy permie set, but.......

The Heist by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.
Tremendous album. Seattle honky hip-hop.

Youtube- Ten Thousand Hours. A lot of application to all our lives. Motivation, inspiration...

While I was drinking my coffee today I was energizing with these tunes :

"The Band" performing Dylans "When I Paint My Masterpiece" Levon Helm did this tune justice , although I like the versions with "Boticellis Niece" instead of "Pretty Little Girl from Greece". Bob Weir does that version justice.

Bob Dylan "One More Cup of Coffee" with Scarlet Rivera on violin. She spoke about how Dylan would do all of his studio recordings in one take . If he did'nt like it he would trash it and move on to the next tune.

"The Minutemen" doing their 40 second version of VanHalens "Ain't Talking about Love". Also recorded in one take , best punk band ever.

Now I'm ready to go string some fence and electrify that sucker!

Joni Mitchell
If

one stanza:

If you can fill the journey
Of a minute
With sixty seconds worth of wonder and delight
Then
The Earth is yours
And Everything that's in it
But more than that
I know
You'll be alright
You'll be alright.

Look up a documentary called Ghengis Blues, featuring Paul Pena. Simply amazing.

We saw the Alash Ensemble, throat singers from Tuva, right here in the middle of blue grass country...they were wonderful:)
they have played with Sun Ra and Bella Fleck.
When I get to the library computer I will look up Ghengis Blues. Thanks for your musical contributions.:)

Huun-Huur-Tu is the fellow thats helps the blind Paul Pena through Tannu-Tuva, a small country located south of China and North of Mongolia, which I believe to be still in Chinese control, featured in the Ghengis Blues documentary. The collective OM truly comes to mind..
