Check out the world premiere of a musical instrument designed by Leonardo DaVinci - Plays like a piano or organ , sounds like a string orchestra -

I do not recommend these holiday habits but for those of you who like punk rock and imbibing too much holiday cheer ..... here is my son and his bandmates singing about just that :

Remember kids : Bragging about how much you can drink is like bragging about how much radiation you have been exposed to !

Have a safe and lucid holiday !

We have been listening to Decade...in particular "the campaigner" ...through an odd event we've been immersed in 1970's newspapers and a huge stack of old "impeach nixon" bumper stickers...the line "even Richard Nixon has got soul" kept running through my brain so I had to dig out the record. The whole thing has reminded me of what bottom up action can do.
....and I am at one hundred anagrams from the bumper sticker letters...we were snowed in for a bit.
I am also enjoying listening to whatever music is on our community radio station out of little rock. new stuff and old stuff ...I rarely catch who although they cover all types of music and it helps me branch out. I particularly loved hearing the looooong Allman bros. version of donovons "...first there is a mountain then there is no mountain then there is".....from 'eat a peach'....now I have to dig out the album...I think it is two records and that song was one whole side of one of them.

Hi Judith, agreed, history teaches that "change" only flows in one direction, from the bottom up. My family was in Washington the day Nixon left the White House. I will never forget that helicopter flying over head and the sentiment of the crowd. Although I was just a child, that event sparked my interest in politics, citizenship and activism.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm revisiting Decade and live Allman Bros as well as The Derek Trucks Band.

PS Thanks to everyone for all the great post here on MOM... please keep 'em comin!
