My son playing bass with Authority Zero last summer in the Ukraine . This video is grainy with an old time VHS feel . It's an acoustic set . They went from Moscow to Ukraine to St Petersburg . Something tells me they won't be doing that again this year . Three cheers for spreading Peace and Tolerance through Punk Rock !

Lennon and Maisy Stella have a version of Headlock out there in the ether that I stumbled onto and I've been wearing the Kindle out watching (listening) to it. It's so odd when you think about how sounds influence us. Just one note in a sequence can strike an emotion that you can't even identify much less understand what sound has to do with it. Maisy's harmony part, being different from the melody that Lennon sings, hits a few of those notes that make me back up and listen again and again although I can't really say why. That line "we're a different pair.." has Maisy going up to hit a higher note on "pair" that does that.... weird brain! What's so special about that one note? I don't have a clue. But I like it.

The one I saw was a little different and had no lyrics showing but it's the same performance. Thanks for putting up the "lyrics" version. I had no idea what was being said but I like it anyway.

We had the absolute joy of having Arlo Guthrie come to our little town and play in the local 1000 seat venue (might be bigger)...great concert...we had seen him more than thirty years ago with John Prine. Anyway he covered several of his dad's songs and his own...and filled the auditorium with every old hippie in a 100 mile radius and a scattering of younger and also older folks and everyone left chuckling at his stories. The encore led into 'Alice's Restaurant' but he said he didn't remember it very well anymore so went into other stuff for a good long time. I am playing the album but found this on youtube to share.
...and if you make it through the WHOLE song....remember this was 1967...and our music and much energy was focused on stopping a war.

I have that album on vinyl too! That was a thanksgiving tradition. Every year to prep and cook by. Right now I'm putting together as many recipes as I can find (which is unfortunatly very few) but they still total more than 20$ so I'm busy constructing my defense for which I will second Waynes cheer for punk rock. It goes something like this:
