for anyone who loves the music of Lou Reed, there was a tribute day yesterday (Monday 28th) on my favourite radio station - livestream - KEXP.org, out of Seattle, Washington state.

starting at 6AM, with DJ John Richards, then all day as the DJs changed every four hours - just some really brilliant music programming that you don't find anywhere else (yes, I'm a fan, I listen whenever I'm online, all day *nods*)

it is great to see all of the Lou Reed posts...we are working our way through our nine albums this week... Velvet Underground and Nico...White Light/White Heat/ Transformer/ Live/ Rock and Roll Heart/The Bells/Classic Performances/the Blue Mask/ and my favorite "New York" where he says on the cover "This album was recorded and mxed at media sound, studio B NYC in essentially the order you have here. It's meant to be listened to in one 58 minute (14 songs) sitting, as though it were a book or a movie".
I cant find "Magic and Loss" ...it is one I found too painful to listen too...

...anyone listen to Laurie Anderson?

I've got the tape of New York, just the tape not the sleeve, and it's amazing. I must have listened to it 100 times a few years ago this time of year (whilst living in a bus)

I'm glad everyone involved thinks a 5 minute rendition of blister in the sun is kinda humorous. Those guys look like they put on a lively show the Who cover was amazing. Not enough dancing.
