Right. Freakin'. On. It's like ya'll are psychic or something. Or maybe you all just have good taste. I picked up Merry Sisters of Fate sometime around 99 or '00 (?) at Dusty Strings for a christmas gift and it got a whole lot of play in my house - so it must have been well received.

Lots of good music going on here. Way better than the alga-rhythms do. I've been listening to some Cream (born under a bad sign) and Hot Tuna (Hesitation Blues) and am about to move to The Doors - Weird Scenes inside the Gold Mine. Cheers all

Edit: Internet tells me that more likely I purchased that album in 2001 or '02... or I invented a time machine. I am no longer sure.

Some argue between the Sex Pistols or the Ramones being the first Punk rock bands . I used to think it was Iggy Pop and the Stooges "Raw Power"
Who could have known that punk rock started in Peru in 1965 with Los Saicos :

I think in the states at least It was Lou Reed and crew...I don.t have the records in front of me but the one with the banana...Velvet Underground....the female vocal whose name begins with "N" ??
They were playing before the date on the album...might predate 1965.

I have an album of the "Buzzards" with "I don't want to go to art school". Anyone heard of them?

Judith, you are referring to Nico? Anyhow I REFUSE to get involved in who is responsible for the international punkrock conspiracy (but I will listen to the music )

Ive been a big fan of these guys for the last 4 years or so - another AWESOME punk rock gal Nico de Gallo. She played washboard and sang amazing harmonies with the totally unpunk band Casa De Chihuahua

I have no idea why these guys only have 300 odd views - Probably mostly from me and people I force to click. I'll look into the Buzzards

Yes, Nico...I miss having my record collection right across the room...but I am back for another hour at the library... I am sure the Buzzards are punk...don't remember the year of the record but I kinda like the song I mentioned in my post. Gonna click on your suggestion...thanks.

I'm just getting used to having it all on demand and at my fingertips myself. Speaking of suggestions here's just one more - it's headphone safe!

Jenn Fiorentino

When she's not singing Bad Religion and Propagandhi covers straight down the gullet of the national security state for practice

She's recording her own music and touring (eastern Canada this fall!)
