hey thats groovy, powerful
never heard this before, but i totally dig the diggers

all forms of that...cause actually "diggers" have several really similar meanings, groups.

theres those Diggers from the english protest,
and the later san fransisco group who also took the name...inspired by the first.
http://www.diggers.org/overview.htm
http://www.diggers.org/digpaps68/selectio.html

a lot of those people live around here out in the hills. or they did, most of them are elders now, or left...

they also called the indigenous, especially the local california native americans, diggers- it was even considered something of a racial slur....because of their foraging and digging up plants...gathering food and seeds on the ground.
well, makes no sense, cause i think it should be a compliment, eh?
proud to be a fellow digger =)

=====================================

here something a little more rocking
cause someone mentioned them, and i have also been having some nostalgia for their older stuff and been listening to it lately

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PMGabbWM5s

ooo even better ...that one is probably censored from the original...here's a live recording, they are really excellent live.

@ Fiona

I did warn you didn't I?

*Snorts w/ laughter* Steven Segal huh? Most of their stuff is much more 'traditional' pan-pagan sounding stuff. I recomend 'twa corbies' for the curious - which Is a brilliant song no matter who's playing it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vy1JXmE595Y

I liked that Talk Talk video (actually I've liked almost all the videos y'all have posted) Nothing like a pill bugs eye view of things! Here's some hippy pagan stuff I grew up on (and still love)

"Incredible String Band - The Hangman's beautiful daughter" full album

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgQuVeMOyAk

@ Leilas (both)

You're damn trippy (and catchy) dance/club music has me going through flashbacks!!!

Are you shpongled? (full album)

@ Leila Hamaya

I'm glad you decided to jump in on this thread! I'm even happier you have joined me on my "Woods Walk" thread

This is the first Bad Religion song I ever heard. Back when I was 11 and visiting a friend with MTV. Rancid and the offspring where doing there thing but this one really resonated for me. 4 or 5 years later we got 56k and I discovered Napster. This is the first song I even downloaded. It stuck with me all that time. Something I could identify with.

Bad Religion - A Walk

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njBW6VMfgwo

"I'm going for a walk. Not the 'after dinner' kind. I'm going to use my hands and I'm going to use my mind" ...

Its pretty much my default position for whenever people around me are being stupid and boring

I'm checking your recommendations out more thoroughly. I do have one giant week spot for good music.

Janes addiction i have never even heard of before, but by the sound of their stuff i am going to check out more of their stuff they are rockin' thanks

All those sounds from Leila hamana are amazing i love chill out stuff. especially the last one , mango tree. in fact i think they will be added to my collection thanks

@ landon, the latest pagan song you posted is pretty good, it's catchy, and i like the melody. thanks

Well, I am celebrating my first frog who appeared in my garden today, and he brought a friend, it came in my house and freaked the dog out while i left the back door open, ( i hope they don't come in too often i might stand on them and make my own frog spawn) i was only whinging yesterday that i had no frogs and....well, magic happens with permaculture for sure!

So here's a well good quality froggie tune....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxmHL7W3r9E

beautifully remastered remix of chris isaak 'wicked games'

thanks for the uploads folks, keep posting as i love to be introduced to new stuff!

Congrats on the frog! I've been beating my head against the wall talking about money this morning. Not productive. I'm going outside.

But I have to plaster the walls with this little gem (not chill out music) another of the first tunes I even got of my 56k.

Regarding the monetary system

Been there. Done that. Went back for more. But this time, I took this tiny ad with me:
