Here are my notes

0:31 What about having the guy looking at his cellphone when he is watering the rock?

0:41 Up the angst and worry on the people's face. Maybe add in sound of some machine working and then stopping with a little scream?

0:56 I like the dead trees and barn in the background but the cactus feels out of place.

1:49-1:57 I love that bit a lot!

Overall I like the video and the animation style. The message is on point and easy to understand.

We just got the latest version!  The movements and color are coming together.  A few sections still need the animation done.

2:00  i think if we put a knife in the guy's hand, it could be much better

2:18 yay!  i got the pie!

Something I just realized: this advertisement, if you will, is mostly geared towards young people fresh out of high school or college. Shouldn't we also mention it's for all ages?

I am super glad that you asked that.

I think this is a perfect example of how the video is extremely effective.

I feel like the idea, as a whole, is so different and so new that most people cannot even understand what we are trying to talk about - until this video existed.  Therefore, this video has done it's job - conveyed this idea remarkably well.  So well that it has activated your brain to think of alternatives!

I just watched it with my kids. Having it colored really drew them in a LOT more than the black and white. I figure if it draws in little primal beings, it probably draws adults better this way, too!

After watching it, my 4 year old said, "The project is a book! A book you can own."

We had to watch it again for them to figure out what the book was about (Kids got to learn new terms, such as what "brings to the table" and "inherit" were). After watching it, I asked them again what the book was about, and my 7 year old said, "Permaculture!" and that the stuff the girl in overalls was doing was stuff you'd learn in the book.

I agree that there should be a knife or something with the spoon carving apartment dweller. My kids said, "What is he doing?" Maybe bring the wood working tools closer to him and have his other hand moving from the spoon to his side, while holding a knife. That does seem like a pain to do, though!

My kids were really confused by the black and white figures helping each other up. It's in a totally different graphic style, and the people are not colored. Maybe it'd be better if it were people drawn in the same style as the rest of the video? Though, this whole segment is more symbolic than the rest, so maybe not?

Is there any way to make what Paul's saying match the movement of his mouth a bit better? The movement was distracting (and confusing for my kids).

All in all, I really like! The colors and animation are really pulling together. It think it really conveys what SKIP is about and keeps the watcher visually interested!

At 2:17, if you can squeeze in one more person you'll have DaVinci's "Last Supper", or maybe Last Skipper. Straws will be drawn for who gets to be Mr. Iscariot.

And, hey, pie has both bread AND juice! Since the pie hasn't been broken into, we can assume that any Iscariot has already departed, and none of the above number are him!

I really like the gamification in this iteration. Also, the 1:45 mark was fantastic! Loved this visual.

And the (mostly) final version.  See anything we can tweak?  Likely minor changes are all that could be made at this point...

One thing I keep noticing is that the guy on Paul's left has no legs.... Maybe the table could be easily extended a smidgen to the right to hide the fact that he has no legs?

Completely agree. Also, why bother with the colour. The black on white line drawings chime much more clisely with the simplicity, reuse, stacking functionality of permaculture.... An add-on colouring book for kids or adults.
Simpler. Cheaper. More 'Paul's overalls' than 'Gucci'

That's shawn.

I noticed that before, but I kinda feel like everything else is so good i am fully willing to let that go.

Along those lines ....   shawn and dave are actually taller than me.  Or I know shawn is - i can't remember if dave is.  Maybe dave is the same height.
