This is a special offer of the 4-movie "better wood heat" plus the 4-movie set "wood burning stoves 2.0" - all 8 videos as HD streaming (instant view).
Here are some of the benefits of rocket mass heaters:
• cheap to run. About a tenth the cost of natural gas, electric or conventional wood heat.
• clean. They emit about a hundredth of the smoke of a conventional wood stove.
• good for the environment. Less than 2% of CO2 emissions of natural gas or electric heat. Can reduce your carbon footprint as much as parking 7 cars.
• sustainable. It uses a renewable fuel which is easy to find and store.
• cheap to build. About $200 to $600.
• quick to build. Often built in a weekend
• luxuriant. Like the luxury of a heated floor but without all that standing.
This was the first 4-DVD set created by Paul Wheaton and his merry band of rocket mass heater innovators. It is a great introduction and shares lots of good information about fire in general, and what can be done with rocket mass heaters.
DVD 1: fire science
This is where Ernie and Erica set stuff on fire in all sorts of wacky ways. This is the foundation for understanding how rocket stoves and rocket mass heaters work the way they do.
DVD 2: sneaky heat
The wood burning stove built in this DVD is the result of a collection of experiments that led to a rocket mass heater an order of magnitude better than any previous rocket mass heater. For the first time ever we have a shippable core.
DVD 3: boom squish
Named after a series of podcasts where we discuss the dangers and strategies of alternative hot water. Caleb Larson and Ernie work together to talk about how to do this right. Caleb is a professional alternative hot water installer and is very familiar with the explosive properties of steam, flash point and vapor lock.
DVD 4: hot rocket
We set out to prove that a few twigs can outperform a huge propane turkey cooker. Mission accomplished. This is with a J-tube style rocket stoves. Other rocket stoves feature an L-tube style the requires constant manual feeding. The J-tube style is self feeding. This DVD will also have information on some tiny home made cookstoves, and several different pocket rocket designs.
This is all about the ol' reliable cob style rocket mass heater. Watch how a couple spent a winter in a tipi with only a rocket mass heater for heat, and how comfortable they were. Even at 26 below! This DVD works as a stand-alone purchase, or can be purchased with the rest of the set.
DVD 2: pebble style
Watch the construction of three pebble style rocket mass heaters. This style of construction is easier to deconstruct and move than the traditional cob style heaters. They are also better for installing on wood floors as they are generally much lighter.
DVD 3: shippable core
This DVD shows an early prototype, and some how-tos for a variety of techniques for building one.
DVD 4: innovators event
This event has been captured on film, featuring the best of the best in the rocket mass heater arena. This video shows a variety of builds such as a rocket mass heater shaped in a circle with glass to show the burn; an outdoor rocket mass heater/cooker/smoker; A "batch box style" rocket mass heater with measured output cleaner than anything we have ever encountered; and an indoor rocket stove, griddle and water heater. Very cool stuff.

This is DVD 1 of 4 of "Better Wood Heat" covering a collection of events from 2013 to 2016. We are trying to not duplicate information in our previous 4 dvd set that covered one gathering in october of 2012 which included ....
fire science: classroom and demonstrations on the many properties of fire and the three types of heat.
Sneaky Heat: focusing on how a rocket mass heater works and how it can heat the same space with one tenth of the wood of a conventional wood stove. There is some classroom time, some history and a rocket mass heater is built.
boom squish: details on the risks of building any of this stuff, and on pressurized rocket hot water.
hot rocket: rocket stoves, including a cook-off between a rocket stove and a propane turkey cooker, pocket rockets, dakota stoves, tools and a poor man's forge that didn't need any belows.
Interest in those four DVDs was huge. So we created four more videos to compliment the first four:
We felt there needed to be a single, standalone DVD that had a strong focus on the "how to" for building the most basic rocket mass heater with cob. That is the video you are watching now.
The second DVD is pebble style rocket mass heaters: A different aesthetic; much faster to build; can be taken apart and rebuilt; a little lighter but doesn't hold as much heat as cob style.
The third DVD is rocket mass heater shippable cores: we build eight different cores and cover the issues of a dozen different designs.
The fourth DVD is about the rocket mass heater innovator's event: we start off building a very basic manifold, then move on to the innovations. Matt Walker builds a j-tube style rocket cooker and smoker with an outdoor but warmer. Then he builds the rocket mass heater equivalent of an outdoor camp fire. Ernie Wisner does some experimenting with cleaner burns in longer burn tunnels. Tim Barker builds a j-tube fired rocket griddle, oven and water heater. Peter van den Berg sweeps the event with his batch box rocket mass heater and tests it running cleaner than anything ever measured.
All eight DVDs are about fire. You can burn yourself with any wood stove, and you can burn yourself with any kind of cook stove or oven. You can burn yourself with hot water, fireworks, smoking, playing with electricity, chemistry or matches. Depending on the context, this can all be very serious and you should be careful - or ... it can be really funny.
The first DVD of "Better Wood Heat" is all about two cob builds is more than two hours long. The first half is about a basic cob build in a log structure. The goal was to have the most boring and basic build to be a really clear example of a cob build.
Our first edit of this build was pushing three hours. It took a lot of work to get it to fit into an hour. And now we have shortened it down to 8 minutes!

look under my email that I used when I purchased.. sorry about that.. dogbreath9@gmail.com I use the other account for doing may day to day email so that is why you could not find it. I purchased via pay pal on jan 18 this year Transaction ID 9UR78429RB734590F
Page improvement suggestion. Can you /we add the title information / summary for each video above each video, just to make it super fast to get to the referenced video.

There is the title on the video. But I think you are suggesting a sentence or two? To give me an idea, what would your propose for the first video?

I don't see the title on the first video, is it maybe embedded in the URL. Playing / Pausing the video does not show a title ,even on hover. And the video itself does not show the title until 4:31 into it.
Proposing adding in something like below. Maybe not so much a summary / sentence as I was suggesting initially but maybe more like a index based on the section headings already in the videos.
For DVD / Video 1:
Looking into it more ... YOU ARE RIGHT! The title isn't showing up. So I went to all eight and got the title to show up. So my guess is that that is a lot better.
Are you thinking there should be more? Maybe a line of text with five or six content points under each video?

Yes this is much better, thanks Paul for getting the titles to show up. What is the prefix 'DM' on the titles, oh Digital Market maybe?
Yes there should be some more since the videos have a lot of content and time within since they usually are over an hour long. If the six content points had a link to each designated chapter section to start the video at that point would be ideal. Especially after watching, and going back for a quick reference. Also I am not sure what video playback system is being used, it kind of looks like Vimeo. But there may be a way to add a menu in the video to jump to points of interest aka Chapters in the video without having to add a bunch of hyperlinks outside the video. But either-way something like that would be very helpful.
I thought I had bought this product but i can not find the actual videos. I got an email confirming my purchase with a link that only comes here. Can you help me out?

Jason, they are embedded in the first post of this thread.
This is a great set of movies to get going with RMH tech! From intro to how to build your own these vids have it all. Highly recommend getting them if you have any interest in running down the rabbit hole that can be rocket mass heaters.....let them be your guide. I give this set of movies 10 out of 10 acorns! Best resource on RMH that I know of, check them out folks!!!

Your account says you did not! My guess is that your purchasing email address is different and there is this whole other account sitter there, owning this product.
If we can figure out the other account and you are one in the same, we have the ability to merge the two accounts.
