We still have lots. I need to take the time to send a bunch to amazon and get that started. But for now, you can still buy them by sending a paypal payment with an address.

Here ya go Paul. The files all seem to be fine on the one I got. It pulled right up and everything is organized and works. I haven't tried the videos yet, but I'll be sure to post when I do!

Mine came in a small flat rate box from USPS. It was small enough to fit inside the mailbox. Be patient, it will get to you! Trust me, it's worth the wait!

Yay - a picture! Thanks Lucas! Yes, all went USPS in the priority mail flat rate boxes except those that went to Canada or overseas.

Has anyone tried their drive on a Mac yet?

I just plugged mine into my MacBook last night to try the videos. They all work, but I need to warn anyone using a Mac that you may need to install VLC player to watch Paul's videos because they are in .wmv (windows) format and may not play using QuickTime. Mine all pulled and played fine on my VLC player though!

Brilliant - thanks Lucas! Anything special needed for the podcasts on a Mac?

Nope. They are all in mp3 form as far as I can tell. It may be easier to drag and drop all the files into an iTunes playlist than to open them one at a time, but either way will work!

This may be an ignorant question but are USB ports the same all over the world? Or do you need to buy adapters like for electricity.

USB ports come in 3 flavors - basically. USB 1.0/1, 2.0 and the latest and greatest which is 3.0, all of which relate to connector, power, transfer rate and language protocol. I'm going to give you a link to the definition on Wikipedia - here. This Linky Thing goes to a page with a very detailed compatibility chart - highly useful stuff. Hope that helps.

Yes we do. We're sending out a batch tomorrow, so if you send a PayPal payment to Paul AT richsoil DOT com today, we'll get it in the shipment tomorrow.

Got mine at some point in the past day or two. Wage slaving and life kind of got in the way yesterday, but there it was today when I went to the post office. Starting with 001 and working my way up from there. I see that the pods end with 271, but there is still around 8GB of free space so those that come out past that can be added, up to that limit of course. I just downloaded podcast 279 onto it and it worked fine.

Nope. I bought a hundred with the idea that I would put the rest on amazon. But I have not yet sent them to amazon.

So we have a bunch of them here still.

In fact, we have a bunch of stuff here: https://permies.com/t/37423 so you can get several things in one gob if you want and save on shipping.

Hi Paul. Do you still plan to put them on Amazon? The reason I ask is they charge only a small delivery fee to ship to the UK. My recent playing card purchase was only about $3 for delivery.

Kind regards, John.

Yes! You can just send the money via paypal to paul@richsoil.com and put your address and a little note that says jumpdrive.

Paul is working on getting the drives on Amazon, but we're not quite there yet. So check with us on what to add for international postage if paying/ordering via PayPal in the mean time. We'll announce here when they are on Amazon.

I edited my post above about international shipments. I guess it's currently $25 to ship to the U.K. Other places may vary, so please check with us. Sam mails them out and inquiries can go to him at minion AT richsoil.com.

My impression is that if I put them on amazon that does not automatically make the item available for delivery outside of the US.

I have it on my list to get the last few over to amazon - but it is one of those things where "why have it collect dust at amazon when it can collect dust just fine over here?" So I am trying to get the cards to do well at amazon so I can then send other stuff that might then do well at amazon.

And I should point out that this thread has a bunch of different things - cheaper to get it in one gob.

For just the jump drive by itself, if somebody adds $25 we can send it far, far away. It seems for anything bigger it is something like $61 to send anything.

And then there is that crazy customs stuff. One time a $61 box came back and it had something to do with customs. Something I never quite figured out.

Update: (since this is nowhere else on these forums)

I just received the nifty USB that came in an international shipping box marked with a USPS US$26.50 pricetag.

So for future crazy people such as I, who want to ship things to help permies.com and/or save limited bad internet download allowances, I should guess this is the minimum shipping fee. I personally wouldn't grudge a small time-fee for filling out the paperwork either.

The box was large enough for a few dvds, so seems ok to me. Having said that, digital is a superior distribution method in my opinion (given good internet), to save sending items in aircraft using all that kerosene...

I put it in a box with your address. Jocelyn then told me that you can no longer just write an address on a box, stick stamps on it and put in the mail. So she will have a proper label put on it, complete with internet postage and then we will put it in the mail.

(apparently, you have to either go to the post office where they will ask "does this contain a bomb?" or go online and answer the question "does the package contain a bomb?" If I don't go through the bomb question process and just stick stamps on it, then the package will go through the mail and then be sent back to me.)

Hi there
Is this drive still available?
If so, is there a table of contents?
Is PayPal still an option for payment?
Thanks

Paypal is still an option.
