Will specs and plans for such battery systems be addressed? I'm thinking about how to make my system all season reliable, the big hurdle being batteries generally don't like charging below freezing and deteriorate when exposed to high heat...

Oops, I realized I didn't congratulate you for meeting the goal.

Congratulations

A lot of work from a lot of people went into this project.  I'm excited to see what it can become with the stretch goals.

Hello Coydon!

You don't have to use any electricity to run a willow feeder.  If you build a nice trombe wall you will get a good draft even when there is no fan.

This is a trombe wall.

It is a thick slab of cob that will gain heat and create a draft in your willow feeder.

Today I shared my kickback link with my off-grid cookbook backers. Hopefully it will bring in some more people.

It looks like we're halfway to the stretch goal of 25,000!

The Democratic Chair video series looks really interesting, and chairmaking seems like a great skill to learn. I wonder if there's a way to turn the stretch goal image into a link to the Democratic Chair sales thread. Maybe that would help more people learn about it and decide that it's worth bumping their pledge up for?

I think they're called "followers" or "following",' but that was a few years ago, a lot has changed on Kickstarter since then so it might be different now.
