We do not sell digital content outside the US.  I don't wanna touch that VAT stuff.

I also would like to buy it but why don't you provide a simple credit card pay to go option w/out creating a PP account?
I'll also not be re-creating a Paypal account out of (hopefully obvious reasons).

Please add an option for a plain cc buy of the bundle.

from email:

Hi, I don't know if I misunderstood. Since my English is not the best.
But I understood that if I paid $35 today, I would have access to 35
items, including one called From Home to Small Town Home.

I tried to do it according to the instructions in the email, entering
MY STUFF on the left side at the top and it says: You don't have any
premium threads.

Is there something I did wrong or how does it work?

The bundle will be delivered tomorrow, January 6th.

Hello Again,
I just posted about 15 minutes ago that I can't get through to pay with my card without going through PayPal and also stated I can pay with a check. I am in Idaho, so not far from you. I just saw your comment about paying cash: "Some people have sent me cash:

 paul wheaton
 2120 s reserve #351
 missoula, mt 59801

Checks have been a problem.  I would really rather not try any more checks.  Half the time i can instant deposit, but the other half, i have to drive into town and do the whole thing of going through the drive-up teller line."

So, is this still valid? If you don't want a check, I can send cash. I trust that you will get it, but please confirm that I can send cash. I do bank with Glacier Banks (In Idaho it is Mountain West), so if you have this bank, it will be easier for you.

Thank You,
Lisa Baldwin

I see Paul says folks send cash.  Personally, that makes me nervous, but to each their own.  It also complicates things because your purchase wouldn't be paid for until after the deal is over.

Hi Lisa

I paid by purchasing an Amazon e-gift card. Very easy and it landed in Paul's email account about 5 mins after I pushed the button, and was notified by Permies of the successful receipt about half an hour later. I would never advise anyone to send cash in the post. With the e-gift card, you also have an evidence trail of the payment, in the unlikley case something went really wrong.

Kind Regards
Mary

My experience:

I used a cc to buy this, it did send me to pay pal, but there is a button at the bottom that says cc.

I didn't log into my PayPal, not did I receive any invoice.  I just clicked the button that says cc and skipped the log in / create acct.

Hope this helps.

That's a wrap!  Thanks so much to everyone who capitalized on this bundle deal, and thanks especially to all the authors and creators who made their content available for the good of all of us homesteaders!  If you get a chance to support their work, please consider doing so.  They all have many other great resources you can find via each of their product threads.

I've now given out gift codes for the first 5 items.  We're planning to do 3-5 things every few days.  That way you get managable, bite-size chunks of digestible homesteading resources, and we don't simply inundate your inbox.

How's the gift code deal working out for everyone who bought the bundle?  Anyone have a chance to try something out yet?  How are you liking the stuff???

Codes are working fine for me. Understanding Roots looks like a cool book, I just glanced through it. Picked a cleaning formula to try from the cleaning book. Most excited about the scrounging book access coming soon. I see a lot of scrounging in my future. Not sure why this deal happened, but thanks to everyone who made it happen.

Hi

New to the forum. I just received the notice but the price is showing $65 not the advertised $35. Did I miss something?

Thank you Mary,
is there still a manual processing fee or you just stated what you were purchasing?

Thanks

In order to pay the $35 for the bundle and $10 for the processing fee, I purchased an Amazon e-gift card for Paul, which Amazon emailed to him. I don't use Paypal but I do use Amazon and Amazon lets me use a credit card.

Since paypal is all we have right now, then it sounds like the rest doesn't matter.

Just in case you are interested, the $35 price expired on the 5th, so the $65 price is current.  Purchasers receive gift codes for each item, individually emailed to their email address registered with their permies account.  Items are sent out about 3 at a time, every few days.

Hope that helps!

Hi Brad - I was confused about that at first too. Usually the page you land on gives you the option to use the link for yourself or to give it away to someone else. If you click for yourself, it will add the item to your inventory.

That will usually take you to a page that provides the option to upgrade, but if you scroll down past the 'buy me' part of the page, there should be a button that says 'click here to download' if you want a copy on your computer. If you just want to view the files and not download, you'll need to go to the button at the top right that says your name, then click 'my stuff' on the drop down menu and it gives you the inventory of materials you own and you should be able to find it in that list and click on it.

Note - to do either action, you must be logged in to your account on Permies. Hope this helps!

Oh!  All good.  We're sending gift codes manually, and you just bought it yesterday, so I'm about to get you caught up.  Don't get freaked out by the emails - you get one with every gift code.

Hi all,

I own this bundle as a gift, yet I am unable to download any of the items in it. I know what you are all thinking. Wow this moron Joe clearly did not follow the link in the email on the tutorial of how to download your items. That is understandable, but I did follow the instructions.

I went to my stuff, I followed the link to the 2023 Homesteading Bundle, which brought me to here, but at the bottom, under purchase as a gift, there is no link to download anything. I have also tried to click each item individually to see if I could download them separately and am having the same issue. Is this happening to anyone else?

How can I troubleshoot this?

Hi Joseph - I am not a mod on this site, but I can make a suggestion that might help. The Bundle has 35 items in it as shown on the Bundle landing page. Under each item is a descriptor that has a link in it. If you hover over the words underneath the picture, you will find a link for that item - each item has one,

If you follow each of those individual item links, you should hit a separate landing page for each item. Some items are streaming, and you have to watch the movie on that page. Other items have a downloadable document or video. The grey box to download should be below the box where you could buy another copy.

It makes sense that every item already exists in its own right - the bundle just lines up a link to each landing page in that bundle. Those items might also be accessed from other bundles or from offers for folks that bought kickstarters. I guess someone could have constructed it differently, but that was probably the simplest way to effect the programming.

I hope that helps.
