This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Commerce

For this BB, you will demonstrate you can make at least $500 from your home by providing a service for people.

For purposes of this BB a cottage industry is where you do the work from your home, it's face to face and it's a service, not a transfer of goods.  Must include a tip of the hat to permaculture values

Some examples:
          - Renting out a cabin, tent site, etc.
          - Sewing repair, truck repair, etc.
          - Massage, counseling, etc.
          - Classes, workshops, etc.

To document your completion, provide proof of the following as pics or video (less than two minutes):
  - A description of your work and how it's a cottage industry
  - You doing the work
  - Proof that you got paid $500 or more (you can smudge out the personal info, so long as it is identifiable as you)

note:  this could be several different activities/sessions that add up to $500 or more.

I've been working with a friend-turned-client doing life coaching. I am by no means a trained counsellor or psychologist, and he knows this, but we work together to set goals, make plans to meet them, and find ways to motivate him to follow through on those plans. We have more frequent communication and check-ins online, but about once a month he comes to see me in person for a meeting, so that's the part I'm submitting for this BB.

The date on each of the e-transfers is different and I left the reference number partially unblurred so you can see that these are all unique transactions.

The PJ Project.

I've been working on trying to make more of my income from cottage industry.  A friend of mine has three boys and wanted each to have their own pajama pants in their personal color to make laundry easier.  One of her boys is tall and thin, so it's hard to find good fitting clothing.  I made 21 pairs of pajama bottoms for her, 3 colors, 7 pair for each boy.
Me working on it.

Note: I hereby certify that this badge bit is complete! What a wonderful idea for both you and her!

I'm so happy! And I wish to make this tiny ad happy too:
