Here is my submission for the Natural Medicine - Sand - Make a Ginger Decoction BB.
To document the completion of the BB, I have provided the following:
- the journal page showing the recipe, etc (I use OrganizEat, a digital cookbook app, so I've included screenshots)
- picture of the ginger root - 2 pictures of the decoction being made (cutting and cooking)
- picture of the finished decoction in its labeled jar
I'm on the tail end of an unpleasant sinus infection currently, so I decided to make a ginger decoction. The steam from boiling it helps clear out the sinuses, and the decoction itself is great for nausea caused by swallowing too much mucous. I also like to keep some on hand for indigestion.

Didn't have locally grown ginger, so I used store bought that I'd had in the fridge for a while. Sliced roughly and simmered for 45-60 minutes. It had boiled down quite a bit, so I actually did a second simmer with another batch of water for an hour.
Didn't store it because I had it immediately with a bit of honey and lemon juice to settle my stomach and soothe my throat. It's got quite a kick!
