Photos of Bleu, stinky like the cheese---

Long story of a rescue pup, hmm, seems he rescued us.

He was unneuted, unkempt and unfed for the first few months, then animal control had him in lockdown around 6 months old

Sweet nature and lack of fear/aggression landed him a residential jail program. They matched inmate volunteers with pups who needed love and training ,well, guess that includes most humans i know too. Was a champ at the beginning but was ultimately expelled after 9 weeks.  Crime? Unrepentant swallowing of gravel.

Now from 38 pounds he is 75, our vet says perfect for athletic dogger.  In brief, he rescued us.

'Loy'

Everyone meet my new rescue - Loy!

She is a four year old Dachshund. She is somewhere between being a big mini or a small 'normal' sized for her breed. She was previously breeding stock for an Amish farm but was retired early. She is the epitome of a lap dog, she just wants to be around her humans regardless of what is going on. She can be stubborn on walks if she thinks she has a better direction to go but is rather easy going otherwise. She doesn't eat too much, she only barks when she wants your attention to go out, and gets along with her big sister (our other dog). She just got fixed a few days ago and we are working on some skin issues but otherwise she is wonderful!

She has a promising career as the slowest chicken herder this side of the Appalachian mountains. The hens don't realize they are bigger than her yet and rush to their coop if they see her coming at a slow trot.

A big THANK YOU to Paul for being cool with them coming with me.

Our 4 year old Mountain Feist - White Heeler mix.
My first dog. Love him dearly. So smart, mischievous, curious, loving, tender & sensitive, and downright adorable.
