We've talked enough about it to know that we need to talk some more.
Here is what we have come up with so far ... and it is possible that any one of these things would be a show stopper for you.
- gotta do the whole thing through the sepper program
- if anybody under 18 is in the boot program, say, a bit of the morning, they MUST be elbow-to-elbow with you, the parent (you and two or three in the bootcamp could be fine). So I suppose there might be one older kid watching the younger kids back at the sepper spot.
- minimum age in the bootcamp with a parent: 10 years old (and we are already talking about how maybe this should actually be 12 years old)
We have another parent arriving in a few weeks and we came up with these three rules for her son:
- do what your momma says; we need constant reassurance that the boy will behave promptly in an emergency and not question stuff
- work hard and earn your beans
- address adults with their appropriate honorific. Sirs, m'ams, Mr. _______, Miss ______, etc. (plus "commander choi" and "commander bolton")
We've had kids here where it worked great. And for every one of those kids, we've had three kids where it was a headache.
I have to go to a meeting now and I know that the boots are working on other stuff right now. I suppose we will be talking about this for the next day or two.

Excellent! It is a great time to be up there at Wheaton Labs! So beautiful with birds and green growing things everywhere!

So if you are here for the bootcamp, and then you jump into an event, and when the event is over, you pop back into the bootcamp.
We do this a lot.
Zander Blomquist wrote:What are the total charges for bootcamp? I heard it's 100$ to be put on the waiting list. What is the cost once I am accepted into bootcamp?

UPDATE! There is currently not wait on the waiting list!
There are many people on the waiting list, but they seem to be waiting long term. So if four people were to sign up for the bootcamp today, they would get to pick their arrival date to come in a few weeks.
