If you find a picture you think would work well but has text already, try the website TinEye . It is a reverse image search where you can upload or paste the URL of an image you have, and it searches for matching images that are the same or very close. It will often turn up differently sized versions of the same picture (good if the one you have is too small) as well as raw images without caption text.

I like the Philosoraptor one. Actually, I like both of them, but for the second, I would change the font to Impact.

Thanks for the tip Josh!
Chad, please may you clarify what you mean by "for the second" . I do not know to which meme(s) you are specifying need their fonts changed. Thank you for your advice; it is appreciated.

I reinput the text to make the meme and it is the Impact font. This is what I got. Maybe because it is smaller, it does not look like proper Impact font. Also, the second Philosoraptor meme was made by Kadence, not me.

Kadence, I like all of the memes you've posted. I think you may want to change the color of the words on the bottom of Most Interesting Man in the World meme because they are kinda hard to read.

Thanks. I was workin with photobucket editor on my cell (no puter right now unfortunately) so it only gives one font and like ten colors for text. Super lame.
I will try and do a better color/text size maybe.

All the memes I've done so far, or at least most of them have been done on my phone. Here are the apps I'm using:
-SquareReady
-ImageEditor Lite
-InstaEdit+

To use the Impact font, use the meme function, not regular texts. The apps I'm using have a "cat" symbol to indicate "this is for memes". We can try traditional memes (i.e. like what Chad recommends) or variants like most of the early posts. Either works! I'm still trying to figure how to sythesize Kelly's advice and Chad's advice together when I make memes. If anyone can create an example meme demonstrating a synthesis of their advice, it would help me and the other meme volunteers learn how to convey ideas better in memes and reach more people.

Permaculture as a modern day fertility treatment is also a good idea .

this one's for you, Wayne....
I found the 'impact' text, Chad...but I can't bring myself to use other peoples pictures....not that mine are all that good, it just goes against the grain as a craftsperson who has worked to "do my own designs" for so many years....I will try harder
I think the third has more 'IMPACT'....I am including two others anyway.

I have a e-machine with WindowsXp 2001 Home Edition . Not much is compatible with it anymore . I am recieving weekly notices that this and that will no longer be compatible with my browser . Even youtube . Google chrome crashed my computer when I tried to switch . I don't expect anyone to be my Google Mama / Daddy but I might still throw out a few lines here and there until I get this figured out . If you all want to make a meme go ahead , if not I will get to them later .

I had seen a portrait of Isaac Newton on a meme sight . I thought a parallel between Newtons apples and permies apples might be fun .

Isaac Newtons' Apples = One
Paul Wheatons' Apples = Infinity symbol

One apple changed the world .
We have bushels !

I have windows xp also....I load my photos from my camera into what is called 'my pictures' and am able to add text in the 'paint' program included with that. I can 'save images' from on line pictures (by right clicking on the image) to 'my pictures' also. The only problem I've had is that straight from my camera the pictures are too large for the 'paint' program so I have to remember to resize before I load to the computer.

Wayne, I would be more than happy to talk to you about trying out Linux Operating Systems to replace Windows. Last summer, I attended a build your own computer workshop that was being hosted at a local college and our copy of Windows would not install on my computer. So I went online and tested out a plethera of Linux OS's on my computer. Linux (technically) is the kernel not the OS itself. The three main parent distributions are Debian, Fedora, Slackware, and RedHat Linux. One of the easiest to install is Ubuntu, and also my favorite to use so far. Puppy Linux is cute, cuddly, and ready for on-the-go work. Archlinux and Gentoo are the most tedious to install because you get to choose pretty much EVERYTHING; they are build-it-yourself OS's. There is a another amazing OS called Bodhi just looks and feels amazing to use. Then, with the nature of Linux, there are thousands to choose from. I kinda get excited talking about Linux because there is sooooo much out there for you to choose from, and it is free, too! Mostly free, RedHat Enterprises is the only one that isn't free.

One of my favorite resources for finding out information about new and old Linux OS's is DistroWatch. They have a great tool for searching for the best OS suited for your needs. Even cooler, they try to maintain open links to downloads of OS's that have been canceled by the developers. Fuduntu is one of these such Linux OS's that was pretty neat and cool until it got canceled. But if nothing else, SourceForge has downloads to almost every Linux OS regardless of whether it has been discontinued or not.

For what I did to test the OS's I installed a YUMI, a multiboot installer. Then, just download whatever OS's you like and follow the instructions that YUMI prompts you with once you launch the program (open it).

I have been asked to post this here as well as where I originally did in the meme factory, as it may be helpful for anyone wishing to do a Wonka based meme.

D. Logan wrote:The Wonka meme is invariably used with a tone of sarcasm, just as the philosoraptor is used with a tone of irreverent humor. I don't think any use of the Wonka meme that doesn't have a tone of sarcasm will be met with anything but an eye roll. The Wonka meme works because it uses a slight humor and touch of tone to point out where an error in logic may be happening. It is done in a way that most people find funny, even if it is the topic they stand on the opposite side of the fence for. In truth, just about any meme without humor on some level tends not to gain much traction. To me, Wonka memes are some of the best because they always address something that deserves a bit of thought, but do so in a way that isn't a direct attack on an individual. They tear down a bit of the wall around some viewpoint that some people would otherwise refuse to consider. Instead of saying 'this way is better' to someone with their fingers in their ears, the meme instead goes 'Hey, have you noticed this problem with your own idea?' in a funny way that disarms anger and affords no target.

Friend did this for me on an app. Its for a card game called "magic: the gathering" ((think pokemon/yu gi oh meets dungeon&dragons/fantasy))

Anyhow i love this one. The numbers in the bottom corner represent attack points/defense points so a 7/5 is pretty high for the actual game. Life link would be each time that card attacks X points you gain that amount of points in your life points. Anyway just the whole thing made me geek out! c:

And Paul's quote there at the bottom (:

Who wants to create a meme for this:

"Without the challenges, you can never be f**king awesome!" -Paul Wheaton

?

Would that make a good meme? Not sure, just thought I'd throw it out there.

How about one without the ** in fucking. I just copied and pasted that quote from someone who posted it on facebook so I forgot to take those out.

Or do people think it would get more shares with the ** in it?
