This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum. Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Homesteading.
For this BB, you will be fixing a leaky roof!
Here is a short related video:
To document your completion of the BB, provide the photos or video (<2 min) of the following:
- the leaky roof
- the supplies you're starting with
- part way through the repair
- the fixed roof
I got to do this BB today! I realized it was time to fix the roof on the barn. It's a bad sign when you can see outside from inside. The repair was easy, the access was not due to the pitch of the roof and the slope of the ground below. But with the proper application of mass to the bottom of the ladder, I survived. All I had to do was pull out the nails that had pulled loose and replace them with roofing screws.
So with a not so clear day and a week of forecasted rain I thought it was time enough to stop putting this one aside.

The tools + plus all the old nails +plus a normal drill (couldn't use an impact driver because we currently have a wasp problem and the hammering aggravates them haha!)

Best thing about houses in Finland is that they have a ladder built onto the house
