Cleaned the car today. As everyone probably knows, I have kids, which equals instant mess. The car is 10 years old, too, so there's some age damage that cleaning just won't fix. But, it's a whole lot cleaner now!

Windshield before

Wiping with dry microcloth (I still have some of these laying around, so I figured I'd use them since the video said to)

Wiping with some "green" glass cleaner I'd bought like 8 years ago

Once I cleaned the outside of the car, it only made sense to clean the inside.

Cleaners used:
Vacuum cleaner, everything
Water under moderate pressure and a brush: floor mats
1:1 Vinegar/Water mix, windshield

Okay, so the car wasn't super dirty to begin with (no kids, can you tell?). The biggest thing was vacuuming up dirt and debris, mostly in the back seat. We had transported some plants and some had tipped over on the way. Upon driving, noticed that the windows are still a little streaky, so I think I'll go back over them with a microfiber cloth.

I used an all-purpose cleaner for the regular plastic stuff and around the doors where it's just grimy, a dollar store window/glass cleaner I found under the sink for the windows, and a car protectant cleaner for the leather/leatherette/stuff I wasn't sure about. Also just some good old water and drove over to the gas station to use the vacuum there.

I only vacuumed the car part, and i hit the foot mats with a piece of wood. My car is used for transporting firewood/lumber/animal food! So only part i used the cleaner on was the dash and the interior of the windshield.
