PEP BB dimensional.sand.decking - Lay 10 sticks for decking

I just finished repairing our deck over-all it wasn't very difficult it just took patience and some manual labor but I think it was worth it.

This was the first time I have done a wood construction project this big, it was very satisfying work. Now our deck is not in danger of rotting for several more years!

I did a really bad job decking the landing on my yurt, so I redid it today, PEP style.  There were 14 stickers total.

Here is my submission for laying sticks for decking.
I used 10 2x8s on my 10‘ x 6‘ deck.

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
- Use wood screws and pilot holes
- no treated wood

To document your completion of the BB, provide the following:
 - Photo of the deck before the boards were installed
 - photo of a pilot hole with a screw laying next to it
 - Photo of the deck after the 10 boards were installed.  

Clarifications:
- Thermally treated wood is acceptable

If the spirit of this BB is primarily in the technique of drilling the pilot holes before drilling, would the base of my baler count for this? Or does it need to be a deck specifically?

Here are some screws next to pilot holes. I did a couple of boards to get them all to stay in place and after the second one split a bit (you can see it here) I did some research and this BB gave me the info I needed to do a better job.
