Orin,

The warmest room is definitely the kitchen. Sometimes the stove is only warm to the touch for a couple of hours after running it; sometimes it is noticeably warm the next day, depending on how long a fire was burned in it. Sometimes if the fire is very short, the cob on the outside of the stove isn't even discernably warm to the touch.
