I've been speaking to the watercolor forum - which I do.

But I use alcohol paints and a razor scalpel more often - up-cycle -
on old piece of cardboard or used paper bags, with pencil. Pencil blends amazingly. I layer with crayon and cut gently. I'm so interested to know if anyone does this?

Anyway, example (I am not pro gun, I come from a family of cowboys.)

I'm told that art is a portal to the soul. Perhaps that's why I hesitate posting these. I do not sell, I cannot. I usually gift them.

https://www.etsy.com/shop/Beadsapp

I design glass lampwork beads with art melted on the bead. I have been designing for about 25 years.
I do custom dog, birds , cat beads and pendants. I love design ones with all kinds of animals.

I call it wearable art  :)

do check out my store there is hundreds of  and jewelry there.  Not even all the things I have. Just not enough time in a day to put everything up.
If anyone wants bead supplies I owned a beads store for 13 years so I have tools, beads and finding just ask....

While I only do this in the winter months, I look forward to it the balance of the year. With our delayed winter, I have yet to create any yet.

Never two ever alike with the base, intermediate and top colors changing every few minutes for a few hours.

I'm a writer and poet, and I have a grant this year to publish a book that uses flowers as analogies for women and women's experiences, with money in the grant to pay local artists to do art for each of the 40 poems.  Prints will be available of them all with the art and the poems on them, and the artists will keep all the profits.  Two of my grown kids are among the artists who are taking part.

The book is called Flower Girls and will be out later this year (you can follow along at my poetry page on FB here.  I love the art that my artists have created for the poems so far!  Here are a few.

I've been scrolling through and enjoying all of the posts made to this thread since I last visited a while back. I love seeing everyone's artwork. 2023 was a year of experimenting with oil paints that I made from our rocks and a couple of the more lightfast plants. Here's a collage of it all, though in the preview it doesn't look like my image is going to show up. If you'd like to see individual images please visit  https://www.wildozark.com/unique-art-by-madison-woods/, my portfolio page at my website. Merry Christmas, End of Year, Start to the Coldest (or warmest if you're south of the equator) Months to everyone!

I've been on a long break from making music, but now that I lost my job, it's making a comeback to support me being a stay-at-home dad.
so please come check out my Youtube Channel and/ or Spotify and hear the new stuff I'm coming up with:

Just finished the first one for 2024. The frame is one I picked up from our local recycle center:

I was playing around mixing acrylics, trying for a moody feel without getting too muddy, the bird just sort of happened. The Freud pastel I did as a funny when I worked at a mental health hospital.
