Glad you're feeling better today! That's concerning if so much surface water is leaking into the cistern, there shouldn't be any otherwise your drinking water can become contaminated.

Just to be clear, he is suggesting that water is condensing on the lid of the pump house.  So it isn't outside water and it isn't the cistern.

Ah my mistake Paul, I saw potatoes sitting by the well the other day and thought they were pulled out of there.

I'm so glad this ended with a Python quote. I kept looking at the photos of the tall trees saying,"the Larch........the Larch". I guess you had to be there.   And glad you came through your malady. Missing out is one of the worst side effects of being sick.

Yep, those were from the buckets I'd pulled from the Pump House. I posted about our novel process back in October, I think...?

It's the buckets that seemed to be directly below the corners of the lid that experienced the problem.
