I have to add that all this activity can generate a lot of attention in internet circles outside our usual reach, and that can be a powerful way to infect new brains with permaculture. Especially with the awesome animation from the Bernal Bros. I hope we get a heap more sales and a bunch of people signed up to the dailyish and a dozen new boots and . . . and . . . and . . .

I can tell you that Paul's generally relatively quiet ig account has seen more action in the last 36 hours than it has in the last 2 months combined, which is great!
I also know that there are often a lot of unquantifiable results of these high-energy pushes.

So yes.  This is an experiment.  And I'm super jazzed about it.  But we will see.  Time may tell, or it may keep its secrets.  I like to think of it like we think of gardening.  Diversity always pays, and planting a million seeds will outperform babying 5 seedlings every time.

Plus it's just fun to have a big party to release the movie, isn't it?

Either way - onward and upward. And we are 13 youtube likes or a patreon patron away from unlocking the Helen Atthowe presentation!

Shared on Facebook. Did all the YouTube stuff too. Thanks for the movie Paul. I’ve been reading about timber framing lately and it was nice to see some different ideas put into action.

A farmer friend in Belize saw this on my Instagram feed. He ask if anyone had tried this in the tropics? If so, are there any special consideration he should keep in mind?

As far as I know, it has not been tried, and would have lots of considerations regarding climate and resource availability. i.e. Montana is dry and has heaps of trees. People have long used timber structures in the tropics, but with different methods.  Same goes for earthen structures.  There is some ongoing discussion in various threads about berm shed design adaptation to other climates and resources.  Lots of considerations.  If your friend wants to join the discussion, have him watch the movie (you could give him a gift code!) and hop over to this thread I just started to pursue exactly those lines of thought.  If he's eagerly pursuing it, a lot of the think-tanking has been done on threads pertaining to the wofati, rather than the berm shed.

All these acorns make me think of Scrat from the Ice Age movies. He'd go nuts over the success of this campaign. No pun intended there.

Hot dog is right, I step away for one second and you all blitz the sucker.  We're on autopilot now!  Not just the 2nd patreon patron acorn, but the acorn for 20 fb shares have been unlocked, bringing us up to 14.  We are one little acorn away from giving away the Grant Shultz presentation on Profitable Permaculture!

Two new patreons!  That's a shot in the arm.  Thanks you all!!  Amazing.  Hope you really enjoy the Grant Shultz presentation - you earned it!

Next acorn to be unlocked, if I were a betting human, would be the next retweet.  Only takes one more . . .

Good thing I'm not a betting human.  Two more patreon subscribers means 2 3! more patreon acorns unlocked!

We're getting dangerously close now to divying out the prize for 20 acorns - Season Extension and Crop Choices rom Helen Atthowe's Garden Master Course earlier this year!  Ask anyone who was there, this is an outstanding presentation.  I really hope we get to give it away . . .

I don't do any of the basic (BS) social media stuff but I do LinkedIn.  Is that any good for acorns?  In the past, I have put a couple of posts out there about how good the Permies Community is.  Thread it in like spammy spaghetti.

I'm not going to fault you for the social media boycott.  You can certainly share it wherever, but but the Youtube and Patreon acorn categories should still be wide open to you.

Tipped over into the 20th acorn last night by snagging the 2nd retweet acorn!  That means 20, and that means everybody who owns the movie now gets pie, the living mulch presentation, the profitable permaculture presentation, AND Helen Atthowe's Garden Master Presentation on Season Extension and Crop Choices!

Well done!

Anyone who hasn't picked up the movie yet, you gotta have access to it here to get all the freebies.

We're gonna let it roll through the weekend and see if this inertia will carry us through to the next prize at 25 acorns, at which point everyone will get a bonus gift code of the tour movie to give to a friend!

click here to go back to the top of the thread where all the links are.  instagram and patreon are both poised for new acorns . . .

Okee dokee

I did the Facebook share, the Instagram like, the YouTube like, and the YouTube comment. I already mentioned the retweet and the Patreon sub and I was already subscribed to Paul's YouTube channel. I think I did all the things!
