I just now got streaming set up as "video on demand" at vimeo. So folks should be able to purchase and then watch the videos without having to make me the in-between guy. It should be automated and instant:

https://vimeo.com/ondemand/3889

If anybody does this, please let me know if it all worked out okay.

I just noticed that vimeo puts a limit of one year on this streaming version. So I dropped the price to $50.

The other people that bought the streaming stuff get "many years." I don't mention a specific number of years because I just figure I set it up, connect them to the videos and then it just goes however long it goes.

I know that all the streaming folks have full access. Including the people that purchased the streaming recently.

What about the folks that bought the DVDs recently - did you get them? Did they play okay?

Nope, no DVDs have been delivered to me yet. I haven't even received an email telling me when it will come.

I do have a SPAM filter. If I knew who to expect an email from I could whitelist that address. Otherwise it will get lost in the SPAM trash bin.

the email will come from Trepstar.com telling you that your order was processed and ready for shipping. Then you'll get another email from cd-fulfillment.com about the product shipping out and when you can expect it. I got both emails yesterday and can expect the dvds in my mailbox on the 12th. so they say.

I got an email stating it was going to ship soon on August 7th and checked on it today. It is now saying the USPS will have it today and delivery when the USPS feels like it. Any chance the people that bought the Kickstarter 4 dvd set could have access to the streaming as well?

Thanks,
Jim

Here is what I know. The funds were paid in early July. But there was then a series of wackiness. Most of which involved a canadian, Bart, sending money to an american company, trepstar. So rather than everything being processed in one big gob, it ended up being processed in batches. So - lesson learned: I probably should pay for it next time.

Last night Bart told me that everybody has now been processed except for the people that did not supply their address to kickstarter when they were asked. So there are about 20 people left that Bart has tried to contact several times.

So if you have not received the email, you might want to drop a note to bart at richsoil.com.

Have not yet received, however an email states the following:

email wrote:Permiescom and Studiomeliescom thanks you for purchasing wood burning stoves 2-0.

Your order was processed for shipment on 8/7/2013.

We will ship this order within 24 hours using USPS First-Class Mail. For addresses in the USA, you should receive the package on average in about 6 business days (or 15 days in the worst case).

Will update when received.

I didn't really get an answer here, which was kind of my main point. Not to pick nits or anything.

First email I got was on 27 July and said: "Your order was processed for shipment on 7/27/2013."
Then on 6 Aug I got another email that said: "Your package ... will be shipped to you on 08/09/2013 via U.S. Postal Service First-Class" and gave a tracking number.
Today (8 Aug) the latest USPS tracking entry says, "Your item departed our SAINT PAUL, MN 55121 sort facility on August 8, 2013." I suppose that means it is on a truck to Texas, and might be delivered next week.

No worries Paul and Bart, just giving you the data you asked for on the Daily-ish.

I got an email saying my DVDs will be shipped 8/12/13... though I dunno if that's when they arrive or when they drop them at their post office. I guess we'll see when we see.

Paul, I would like to say that I'm a bit disappointed.

Not about the video's content, but the "NEW" price announcement.

- Just one week ago I've paid $99.00 for the streaming version (at YouTube), and now it goes as down as $50.00 (at Vimeo).

If this option was available last week, I certainly would have chosen it.
For me "one year" of streaming would be enough time.

- I really would like to be able to change for this option of streaming (at Vimeo) if it's still available.

Thank you for your comprehension,
Joao

Excellent point Joao. Once you have watched the videos once or twice in the first few months, you are pretty much done. So I raised the price back up. I want to make very sure that people that support the kickstarter get a better deal than people that buy in later.

Good to know that the buying and shipping stuff is now working!

Rose, I think the outfit that burns and ships the dvds has an email for making sure that they did their job correctly.

I have updated the big article at http://www.richsoil.com/rocket-stove-mass-heater.jsp to include mention of the DVDs. And that is set up with the following shortcut:

richsoil.com/stoves

And I have updated the article at permies https://permies.com/wood-burning-stoves.html to include the DVDs. That also has a shortcut:

permies.com/stoves

Thanks for your comprehension Paul.

Perhaps some other people from kickstarter that have supported you could have thought the same way as me.
In other hand I also think that if you had started the prices at $50 since the very begining would be okay too, but at this time, I think that the most fair to everybody is as you've set up for now.

Just one doubt:
- Will you keep offering the Youtube version (with no time limit) for $99.00 and the Vimeo version (1 year limit) for $90.00?

I ask because I may have other friends interested on acquire the streaming version too.

Well....and I would like to say that about the content of the DVDs (at the streaming version that I bought) are very good! Wonderful information for a beginner like me in rocket mass heaters, many doubts answered and possible future mistakes (of mine) avoided.

For future releases my only suggestion would be about the sound, that if possible, please try to make available a personal microphone to each of the speakers/presenters, for me (as non-native English speaker) at some points is imperative to review many times, to understand correctly some "technical" words because of the low sound. (I read that you have already wrote about that at somewhere).
But overall, GREAT VIDEOS!!! Congratulations to you, Ernie, Erica and all the other people who have make this possible!

Greetings from southern Brazil,
Joao

Joao,

Bart has asked me to not do any more filming for DVD projects. So future projects will be done by people who know what they are doing.

If somebody asked for the $99 thing, I would still honor it - but they need to put a link to their vimeo account in with the paypal payment. That whole private youtube thing consumed about 40 hours of my life. So, no more private youtube.

Today (8 Aug) the latest USPS tracking entry says, "Your item departed our SAINT PAUL, MN 55121 sort facility on August 8, 2013."

The DVDs were waiting on the porch Saturday night when I got home. (10 Aug). So in my case it was not the USPS that was slow. It is here now! Yea! Thanks, Paul and Bart! (and Ernie and Erica.)

Bart has asked me to not do any more filming for DVD projects. So future projects will be done by people who know what they are doing.

I've watched #1 "Fire Science" so far. I didn't mind the picture so much, but the audio was hard to understand without straining. Just fix that on future projects and I'm ok. I like the graphics ("cameraman easily distracted by shiny objects." )

Did you buy it through the kickstarter?

Did you get an email telling you of the shipping date?
