Jocelyn and I played "Kings in the corner" with the proof deck

Never heard of Kings in the Corner before going to the Red Lion, Pa. Senior Center. With the rare exception of Pinochle, that's all they play there. Will see how I fare with these cards.

Mine came with just two days before the first night of Hanukkah. It's the perfect "side dish" kind of present because no one gets eight days of big presents.

I received my deck today and they really are beautiful. Thank you. As I was flipping through them I noticed that there is no Geoff Lawton card. I had to go back and check again. In one of the previews he was on the Jack of hearts, but now he's missing. What happened?

Mine arrived today! They look great. One problem: how on earth is anyone supposed to focus on a game of cards?

Geoff and I exchanged some email about the cards. he said that because of his religion, and the cards can be used for gambling, he would prefer to not be in the deck.

It isn't clear on amazon, but if you buy 12 (a brick) then you get them at half price. Kinda like what we did on the kickstarter.

I placed an order on Amazon for 2 decks right after Paul sent out the email saying he put them up and they already shipped! I'm excited to hold them and see them sitting on my coffee table. And maybe play some cards with them.

I just got mine! They look great and I'm super stoked!
I was pretty amused by the low tech mailing

FYI, you get a HUGE discount on postage if you go the commercial route, then you only have one label with the address and postage to put on the envelope. This might explain why you guys have such a slow postal delivery too.

Why not just change your description to reflect that, to stimulate larger orders.

Because there could be other sellers that don't honor that.

Hey, Paul. I got my brick, and took a pack to the poker game. We have been playing every Friday night for 40-some years. we have pretty much seen everything.
When I pulled out the pack of Permaculture cards, I got a serious blank stare and much skepticism from Michael, the guy whose house we pay at. After a while though, he was going through them one by one. I saw your devious plan at work...

Just got my two decks! Love this idea! It's funny how nobody I know is as excited as I am. I'm such a premie loaner where I live.

I think I may have convinced the store I work at to order 12 decks for holiday gift sales. I am super stoked to be able to support this in anyway.

Keep up the good work everyone.

Received my brick in Australia a few weeks ago, perfect timing for Christmas gifts

Looking forward to my first game of cards with friends this year so that I can start seeding their brains with permaculture!

I'd like to buy a brick but it seems there is only 4 left, following this link.

Is there any similar options around? I see Homesteadgear are out as well.

The link provided says by Paul Wheaton and Alexander Ojeda - Ships from and sold by Famous: Gambler's Warehouse.

Same decks can be bought from two others:

by Permies - Sold by New Farm Supply

by Liberty Playing Cards - Ships from and sold by Playing Card Deals.

Are any of these available with the fantastic 12 deck half price option?

I know that the cards are not allowed to be sold outside the US via amazon.

Maybe that's why you only see the other sellers - because my cards are AT amazon. The other sellers can ship it however they want.

I do have to say that I sent a brick to England the other day and it was $61.00! Crap!

I shipped it to someone in the states that agreed to reship it, so the brilliant half price offer has a better value than $60 shipping.

Ok, other cards may be cheaper, but this isn't about playing cards, this is a great example of what amazing end product can come out of that you are talking about all the time, that when the idea comes: "Hey, you know what would've been cool?", and it ACTUALLY gets done. Kudos to you and your helpers, this is awesome. Would have bought it ages ago just have been low on funds.

I am very pleased with the packs I won on permies one of the two decks is going to be part of a birthday gift for my daughter , lets hope she gets infected.
Would it be possible to buy larger posters or even a down loaded file that would allow a poster either A4 or A3 to be printed? Maybe there is a way of doing this so it only can be printed once?
Just an idea
How about a permie thèmed chess set
Green vs red
Rooks = oil derrik = trees
Knight= car = bike
Bishop = test tube = compost pile
Queen = dollar sign = the earth
King = banker = farmer

David

David
A honey bee poster would cool.
