POST 588 (DAY 598, Wednesday, 2022.03.30)
[Morning Entry]

…… grateful for soup.. as a child, soup was the last thing I craved.. it was too hot and bland.. on the other hand, my father only ever craved soup.. these days I crave soup and I enjoy it immensely.. if age is just a number, then soup doesn’t count..
…… yesterday was gardening at the abbey.. figuring out the best way to irrigate.. soil is beginning to get thirsty.. Afternoon we dug the remaining post holes for the solar panel array at the lab well site.. delivered the tractor for repair.. and peeled some logs.. next is scaffolding on the hugels for ease of access.. And collect gravel, to place and align the posts.. fell a few more trees to clear the sun’s path..
…… i keep forgetting to take pics..

Hey Dez, at the BB20 event a couple people indicated they want to put horizontal logs on hugel scaffolds.  So feel free to leave a few spots where logs can be added at the end of April!

POST 590 (DAY 600, Friday, 2022.04.01)
[Morning Entry]

…… I think I’m done with Wheaton Labs.. It’s just too much.. all the little things that have been adding up for the last 600 days.. APRIL FOOLS—I’m here forever, ya silly geese!!! Or you know, until these kittens stop begging for love and food.. hehe did I get ya? :)
…… grateful for gardening mornings.. a taste of everyday once my two years is complete.. I’d like to build my wofati and garden full time.. but there might be an intermediate phase between that one and the current one.. in the meantime—design, dream, design..
…… yesterday we lifted 5ish posts for the well solar array at the lab.. I had breakfast for the first time in weeks.. been doing intermittent fasting for several months now.. eggs for the win again..

Your observation about learning reminded me of my favorite punk song from the 80s. I'm a bit fuzzy on the whole lyric set, but recall they were something like:
"Repetition its very good
Repetition its very good
Repetition its very good
Repetition its very good
Repetition its very good
Repetition its very good
Repetition its very good
Repetition its very good..."
It was before I knew much about music but my memory of it only has two chords, alternating the whole way.

POST 591 (DAY 601, Saturday, 2022.04.02)
[Morning Entry]

…… grateful for finishing Fridays.. finished planting last season’s  potatoes.. basted my garden patches with some water.. felled a tree successfully.. placed all six posts at well site.. the water is available BUT there’s an issue with flow from the cistern to the hydrants.. been troubleshooting all week.. we suspect there’s something like an air bubble in the line, but maybe it’s much simpler.. maybe someone with well-building experience would have some input?.. we’re so close…..

Coydon—so funny.. thanks for sharing!
