I believe I created an engaging post about my greenhouse. I had a lot of posts within it but there were plenty of replies. 40 posts per page and 10 pages of posts so I think it qualifies. I don't know an easy way to count up non-OP replies...

Mike, I did a search for your thread title, and it pulled up 7 pages of comments. I started counting replies, skipping over yours, and reached 100 by the third page. It took less than a minute, I think, so I suggest anyone applying for this BB has an original thread title to search for.
(Reminder to myself) God didn't say, "well said, well planned, and well thought out." He said, "well done."

The more straightforward approach prevails! I have a knack for trying to do arithmetic and counting the wrong way. This is why I was a humanities major.
Someone flagged this submission as not complete. BBV price: 1 Note: Sorry, hit the wrong button. No, this is a BB for making a post on permies that engages well enough with people to get 100 replies
I started a thread as a simple writing challenge to encourage people to be creative, while not being overly time committing or scary. Yes, there really are people who are afraid to write.
It was a lot of work to manage, particularly the first couple of pages. But I was reminded that permies are a *really* creative bunch of people!
By near the end of page four, I had over 130 responses to this thread.
I started it on June 2nd, 2016, and it's most recent post was 7 days ago. I haven't counted how many of the posts in that thread are mine, but there are 1,230 posts, so I'm pretty sure that's more than 100 posts that aren't mine!
The easist way, I found, to see how many posts are in a thread you started, is to go to your profile.
When you're at you're profile, you can click on the number above the word "threads." Then look through there and find the thread with more than 100 replies. Then you have to count the non-you posts to make sure there are 100+ of them.
Another thing to know is that most threads on permies have 40 posts per page. So if you scroll through three pages of your thread, and don't see more than 20 of your own replies, you're good!
