I organized and ran a work party yesterday.  I've done plenty of these but now I finally found an analog watch that I could use for the pictures :)

The party was to continue building our shed at the community garden and do some other fall clean up around the garden.  People came and went but we had 5 people there all the time.

The only evidence I have (per the requirements) that I lead it is that I sent out the pleading emails to get workers and I bought the sway braces (T style corners) that we put up on the shed as we sided it.  I guess the fact that I could take the pictures meant I had the time to dilly dally (ie management)...

The brunette lady in the picture is our lead carpenter and she did tell people on the shed build what to do.  In addition to the shed work we got the compost pile rearranged, removed a bunch of annual flowers and tomatoes and installed two raptor perches.

Note: I hereby certify that this badge bit is complete! Good job organizing it! I don't think you need to be all-knowing to manage a project--just know who to give what tasks to, and get them all there!

Staff note (Paul Fookes) :

I certify this BB for 2 points, 1 for four attendees plus 1 for one. With Mike presumably holding the Camera and watch.(See Pic 3-Start time 1:13 (5 people plus me))

PEP Community - Straw - Work Party

Before we could press apples, they needed to be picked, sorted, and washed.  This does not include anything after being picked.

Saturday we picked apples
Myself:  8hrs 8am-4pm
Carlin:   6hrs 11am-4pm
Mary:    4hrs  11am-4pm
Jeanette: 4hrs 12pm-4pm
Peas: 4hrs 12pm-4pm
Total: 18 work hours

210 gallons of apples picked from the first tree plus 10 gallons of apples picked from the second tree.

Doesn't count preserving any apples. Sunday we pressed apples, not counted here.

Ended up with two parties, picking on Saturday, and Sunday for pressing.

EDIT: I actually had 5 unrelated people for 3hrs PLUS ME. See updated photo with labels and timestamps for clarity - I'm the one in overalls without a label.

I hosted my second annual permablitz. The focus of the day was to create ways to slow and spread the water. Imprinting, check dams, one rock check-dams, inoculating mushrooms, etc were implemented to cover the bedrock at the top of the property. I had 5 unrelated people (the bare minimum!) come to support the permablitz. It was such a great time! I took group (-ish) photos after I gave the tour and talked about the plan, then another photo at lunch, then another photo just as we were saying our good byes.
