Nope, it's Evan's house on plot 2.

Yup! It's in good shape inside. We're building a roundwood bedframe for it, going to put in a RMH bench etc., then start working on shelving and such. On the outside, I'm trying to get it prepped for planting asap since we've only been coming out on the weekends. Some things are starting to grow, but some of the hillsides look like they've been bare for way too long, so I'm going to try to get stuff to grow on them to keep them from eroding. I wish I had more tools for some of this, but it is what it is.

Spent this morning cleaning and watering the house plants. Removed the stuff that's been sitting on the dehydrator screens over the dining table and put those dry things away. Then sorted through my seeds and began creating a spreadsheet so I could have a list to look back on later. It'll also help me track when things get planted.

Chris finished another gate out at the Abbey last week, so those beautiful pics are down below. Also included the first one he did for the Ant Village gate at the Abbey.

While I was cleaning this morning, I found a bird swaddled in a towel on the mass. Jen told me Vish had caught it and she was hoping it would recover and live another day. I think it had taken too much damage - its wing had blood near the elbow joint (carpometacarpus), its leg seemed tender, and fear had probably set too deep. It didn't end up making it another day. I laid it to rest next to the transplanted apricot and wished it well on its next journey. 💙

Was pretty disappointed to find the thistle removed from my garden patch this morning. 😞 Got some beets planted. Spread some clovers and vetch. Gonna make it too delightfully nutrient rich for the grass to have a chance. I mean, it has a head start, but I'm thinking this is the season this hillside is gonna kick some ass. 🤔🤞🏻

Worked on the Voltzwagen this afternoon with Chris. He got some new boards cut for an access hatch while I put the new batteries in and cleaned up the wiring. Tomorrow morning I'll go back out to finish the hatch and hook up the batteries. Then I'll figure out how to get the dang panels to stay facing the sun.. 🙄
