This is to correct my previous incomplete submission (quoted below) for the BB in cooking a grain with a solar oven.
First, here's the pot of rice just put into the Sun Oven in the morning, before the sun hits the oven.
Here's a closer look, with it just beginning to cook as the earth rotates and the sunlight hits the Sun Oven.
Next, you can see the rice cooking in the Sun Oven, with the temperature gauge rising.
Here's the pot of rice fully cooked.
I've written this whole process up at
"Another Pot of Rice in the Solar Oven: How to Get a Permaculture Badge (Bit)... Hopefully!"
Thank you for your reconsideration.

I cooked and baked all summer long using the Sun Oven, with three different types of food successfully cooked: 1) rice 2) meat and 3) pie. All 3 were subsequently written up on my blog:
Rice: The Day Superman Got a Sun Oven
Meat: Cooking Meat, the Solar Way
Pie: Can You Bake a Pie in a Solar Oven?

Here's the rice cooking in the Sun Oven.
Rice, mid-cook:
Unfortunately, I forgot to get a photo of the finished rice. But here is proof that I can capably cook a pot of rice, as I've got photos of successful meat and pie bakes, which are arguably more challenging. You can also look at the links above for the full blog posts with step-by-step breakdowns.
