To those who celebrate, happy thanksgiving and enjoy your feasts!

(And for any who mourn this solemn occasion, I empathize, even though that’s not my tradition.)

I love food holidays so we are celebrating on Sunday.

The other big food holiday is Christmas.  May be Easter, too?

My family was at the first Thanksgiving so I appreciate its meaning and purpose of the holiday, but it is 2024 so being introverts, it was just me and the wife, we had stuffed baked haddock instead of turkey, asparagus, smashed red potatoes and cheese cake, Since we dislike sports, no football for us either. I guess that makes us Fuddy-Duddies, but I never was one to be like everyone else.

Incidentally, a new poll showed 30% of Americans dislike turkey on Thanksgiving.

Hey all you 'Murcans, Happy Thanksgiving!

Ours was in October. But I've since recovered, and I could do it all over again!

Happy Thanksgiving y’all!

It’s still early here. The house smells so good, turkey’s in the oven, the pie and sweet potatoes, too.

I can’t wait!

For those who ate already, and want to watch the low tech movie, head over to that thread:

You’d think by this age I’d know not to stuff myself. Turns out I don’t.

I resemble that remark....

What's that smell? I think this tiny ad may have stepped in something.
