It is near the end of the riding season where I am, and the thought popped up in my mind. How many Permies ride motorcycles and scooters?

I own a motorcycle that I do not ride as much as I should.

It is a nice change of pace over driving a bigger vehicle when all I need to do is go between point A and point B.

I am confident I would NOT be able to operate a 'legacy' motorcycle without a good deal of practice.....foot operated gear shifting and hand clutching.  That said, aren't many motorcycles of today...and even most scooters....offered in automatic transmission?  Those I probably would be fine with.

I rode enough to decide that I could probably cope with one. I found one I liked, a Kawasaki 440 LTD. It had been doing the rounds between our friends to learn on before they moved up to a bigger one - it was Austin's at one point! It finally came up for sale again when I'd decided it was time to go for it, I gave it a good test ride, I organised the money for it, I had first refusal on it.

Then I found out I was pregnant and the whole world changed...

Snowy will forever be the one that got away in my life...
