It's that time of year again.  I think many people will agree that the worst Christmas song ever is the one by NewSong about a kid needing money to buy his dying mom some shoes.

The best song however has to be Oh Holy Night as sung by Cartman:

Okay, that song about Christmas in Washington, was truly awful! Oh my.

Here, however, is one that I found that I think is really, really fun! The best are the parents' answers to what strangers say at the end, so make sure you listen that far!

Oh man, Santa Baby is definitely my most hated Christmas song.

As for favorite, I love the meaning of the original Oh Holy Night (not South Park, LOL!), and Joy to the World is so upbeat. I find myself singing Winter Wonderland a lot whenever it snows. But, I really love annoying people with 12 Days of Christmas. As a kid, my family would sing Christmas songs together before opening pressents. I ALWAYS chose 12 Days of Christmas, to everyone else's dismay. I just love memorization and lots of verses, and 12 Days of Christmas is PERFECT for that.

Now I want to start and Apple Poll about this! But, maybe R Ranson already has one lined up for next week? I'll have to check first!

Yeah, it's horrible in terms of the lyrics, (so wrong in so many ways!) though for some reason, I've always like the melody of that one. Plus, I've loved the melody and harmonizing in "Baby it's Cold Out There" (or whatever the title is) and horrified some friends by saying I liked that song. They swiftly informed me that that song is basically the epitome of NOT recognizing lack of consent. Uff. I just like the jazzy, rat pack or big band style of those tunes. I don't pay attention to the lyrics much. Ah well.

How devilish of you! Ha! There's a goofy 12 Days of Christmas version (not the funny one of what strangers say, above) that my sister has always loved to sing. Most of our family has always enjoyed hearing it. Wish I could remember it now.

(Sheesh, I sound OLD! Liking rat pack music and not remembering things!)

It's a great idea if it isn't already on the list!

I hate Santa Baby too.  That always gets an immediate down vote on Pandora.  Thanks for that version of the 12 Days of Christmas.  Hadn't seen it before and extra funny since i come from a big family.

A little bit of a story behind this song.

"I'll be home for Christmas" is a song that was written by Kim Gannon. The Gannon family not only lived in the village that I grew up in but also have been incredibly influential to the area with their charity. EVERY YEAR, in school, we would inevitably sing the song for a choral class when the holidays come around. The lyrics are engrained into my being at this point. It is a wonderful holiday song, just one that I have had my fair share of 'enjoying'.
