Here is my submission for the Natural Medicine Aspect - Sand for Straw - Gingerroot Tincture BB.

I purchased organic Gingerroot in Tacoma and used a large carrot peeler/slicer to slice the ginger root and added Everclear on September 15.
- 1.5 ounces of ginger root
- 4.15 ounces by weight (not volume) Everclear

I gently shook the spice jar several times a week and decanted the tincture on December 1 - about 2.5 months of infusion time.

To document the completion of the BB, I have provided the following:
- picture of the ginger root
- picture of the tincture being made
- picture of the finished tincture in its labeled jar

For this BB, I made a ginger tincture with some high proof alcohol. I used a dark bourbon, my girlfriend enjoys the taste a bit more due to the smoothness lol. Happy wife (sort of) happy life.

I utilized vodka as my base and put it in a jar that was agitated daily for a few weeks. I filtered out the fines and chunks with cheesecloth and found the resulting tincture to be mild yet firmly gingery. I plan on utilizing it as a digestive aid as it is one of the many uses for ginger.
