Well done, Katie! Is it poky from the feathers? I've thought of using duck feathers...

It’s not very pokey, but I mostly used the more downy feathers. One of our chickens had been attacked by a hawk, and there were feathers scattered around so I collected the ones I wanted and washed them and dried them in a pillowcase.
I used some cotton flannel leftover from another project. For stuffing, I took some unbleached cotton batting and pulled it apart to make it fluffy. I also took leftover flannel scraps and cut them very small.

Made a pillow to replace the gross polyester bed that was on top of the cat tree. The dimensions of the spot in the cat tree is 16.5 in by 11.5 in.
I used a couple of old T-shirts that I cut out previously for fabric scraps. I stuffed it with wool that I got from a guy across town and cleaned and carded and then mixed with cotton fabric scraps. I decided to be fancy and try and sew a diveted center for the cats to nest in and didn't realize that once it was stuffed it wouldn't fit under the sewing machine. I then moved the stuffing around and got it to fit but then my freehand estimating of where I was going got a little zig-zaggy, so next time I would mark that area out with a pencil or something and follow the line. The thread I used was cotton.
I then knit a cover for it so the cats get to sleep on wool. My cats and dogs definitely prefer laying on wool to any other material. Our few wool blankets are heavily coveted and I've been trying to find ways to add more wool to my home.
