I wiped everything down with water to get the scum, dirt, hair off and followed up with vinegar for hard water stains, particularly around the faucet and in the toilet bowl. Scrubbed toilet with pumice stone.
Picked up the floor, swept, and washed the bath mats.
Since covid began we've been using more colloidal silver in our cleaning routine as well, I made sure to use it as a touch up today since we have a cold going through the family. (We have our own machine to minimize expenses and waste in getting the colloidal silver)
Here is my submission for the Clean a Bathroom BB - Nest Aspect - sand.
This is probably the first time in my life that I used no commercial chemicals.
To document my completion of this BB, I have posted:
- a photo of the cleaning agents
- before and after pics of
- toilet
- sink/counter
- tub/shower
- mirror
- floor
- report on what cleaners were used
I used about a teaspoon of vinegar and a scraper blade on the mirror.
I used baking soda on the sink, tub, and toilet.
I used hot water and elbow grease on everything.
The bathroom was cleaned today by me and here is my BB submission for it. I'll first post the before pics and then the after ones. I'll note that I have a regular toilet that doesn't really get used. Occasionally a visitor uses it. I do have to clean the dust off now and then as well as flush to replenish the water in the trap. I use a sawdust composting toilet, which I cleaned the seat and bench of for this. For cleaners I used mostly just water of course, cold water actually. (It's cloudy and I run on solar power so I'm being VERY conservative of hot water right now.) I also used some baking soda and a bit of white vinegar.

The before shot of the tub/shower. I feel I should note that even when clean this area looks scary due to staining and nasty old plasic panels. Someday I will tile this.

The after shot of the tub/shower. Remember I promised it would still look scary. It is cleaned.
I have a feeling my submission above got missed since all I submitted that day have not been responded to. If I am missing something for it or it doesn't qualify just let me know. If I'm just getting too antsy just ignore me too. I can be patient. ;)
