BEL #736
New Boot
Faith and I took on a broad range of tasks today, and for this update I wanted to focus on one of them.
Paul wanted a reading light installed for the couch in the
Solarium, so when it arrived we wanted to ensure the cord would be connected to the outlet and stay there (above what used to be the location for the garage door). I posed the question to Faith and her idea was to furnish some metal clips to secure the cord against the rolly shelf, behind the couch.
Faith sketched out a trio of clips-to-be on a scrap of sheet metal, then flattened the metal so it would be easier to cut.
After a bit of coaching and demonstration, Faith was able to use the cordless angle grinder to cut out her three clips.
I also coached her on how to use the bench brush and the bench grinder to clean up the edges of her clips. She ensured that no jagged edges remained to damage the lamp's electrical cord.
Faith then used a pair of needle-nose pliers to persuade her clips into shape, and then I fastened them to the wall. My verdict:
"Straight outta the package at Home Depot!"
That's all for now. Thanks for reading, and enjoy your day...!
