Dez and I got to work together today on a new project today... another firewood rack. Cause we need wood stacked everywhere.
This one is going next to the outdoor showers, has to have its own roof, and hold one face cord of wood (42.667 ft^2 of wood) (4'x8'x16"). Dez and I designed the rack to be shorter by half and twice the depth to be more stable and be easier to reach.
Took a while to rip 2x6's in half and get all our cuts done. Once we had everything prepped it went together quickly. Having another hand helped a lot getting everything cut and squared.
We put on a sloped roof and are planning to put on some decorative angle bracing. Still need to level out some big stones tomorrow for a base but other than that I think we have this one done.

Hey Mike. It is difficult to test how it will perform full of wood or half full. Empty, I'm sure it would be an umbrella but we wanted to give it a one foot overhang on all sides. We'll have to watch and see
I am going to test your electrical conductivity with this tiny ad:
