…… grateful for a morning foot massage.. and a uniform.. a foot massage means that I matter to me—first thing in the morning, my feet feel good and I feel good through my feet.. a uniform means I save decision making spoons for the bigger decisions—my uniform is hand selected to ease motion and be warm.. if the rest of my days is wearing one fashion statement, let it be form WITH very high function..! :)

…… grateful for the Orange analogy.. if you squeeze an orange, usually you get orange juice.. not because of the squeeze, but because orange juice is what’s inside.. I’ve been wrestling with feelings of stress and inadequacy about things I will leave out the details for now.. and I kept remembering this analogy.. why am I feeling this way?.. can it just stop please?!.. discomfort, a friend said is likely an opportunity for my own growth.. what’s inside.. is my own side of the street cleaned?

…… grateful for sushi Day!.. our final half arsed holiday of the season.. thanks Paul!.. yesterday, P brought out her culinary skills to share some sushi rolls and miso soup.. thanks P!.. we also cleaned up the free shelf and emptied the recycling and built up the paths on a hugel.. it was a rainy day.. thanks crew!.. and of course, thank you to all of our supporters and staff of permies across and throughout the globe—let’s keep building this better world together.. :)
…… about a year ago this time, my mother went onto her next journey.. a day before my sisters bday.. my sister, Jo, took care of moms during her final years.. while raising a family and working full time.. moms sure are incredible humans..
…… yesterday one of our boots went on a ten day adventure to meet ones self in silence.. from what I understand this isn’t for the faint of heart.. my guess is that in silence, people face or reveal the kinds of mirrors that are usually avoided or covered up.. when I was younger I didn’t speak much—mostly because I thought that no one cared to listen.. so many of my days growing up, I spent in the silent belief that I could not speak freely (without judgement or shame).. how did I become this way?.. not sure exactly.. my belief and message now, when I do speak, is to encourage the enjoyment of life—if it’s not fun, creatively and respectfully find another way to receive the fun.. it takes an open mind and a resilient constitution  (or “heart”)..

…… grateful for silence..

each day seems to be whizzing by..
as if space-time itself flows differently here..
and when the flurry of building projects is observed from the eye..
every swirl and every squirrel stands still..
in awe and wonderment..
a breath held and a breath drawn..
a power contained in vast fog..
did the felled tree make a crash? A thud? A crackle?..
it made an impact in hearts and lives..
Every inch by inch..
Permaculture moves the world..
Perhaps in a deep silence awaits our very next adventure of a lifetime..
