POST 542 (DAY 552, Saturday, 2022.02.12)
[Morning Entry]

…… grateful for progress.. I am possibly the slowest person that I know.. I often look around at others and notice their pace.. there was a time when this contrast in ability would bother me.. today,  I am okay with being “slow”.. I also notice others who are slower than me at certain things.. we all come in a variety of speeds and flavors, don’t we?.. and yet here we are, basking in the glow of the sun’s free and generous life-giving energy.. comparison thinking, in terms of “better” or “worse” than, often leads to a less than happy place.. and I can only stand to be in an unhappy place for so long before the urge to move along gongs the core of me.. if, rather, I focus on comparing myself to my previous self, I can ask a productive question as, “have I improved?”.. and thus, progress becomes my new measuring stick.. am I getting closer to the achievable targets that I have set up for myself?.. if not, can I change my approach?.. if yes, have I celebrated the marked and or measurable progress?.. I think IF I had a child in my stewardship, that child might appreciate this sort of guidance someday.. we’re all different plants in a kingdom of polyculture.. each with their own characteristics and strengths.. what’s my strength?.. I’m not quite sure still.. perhaps it’s the ability to see that I DO have stewardship of at least one child—you guessed it—my own inner child.. :)

POST 543 (DAY 553, Sunday, 2022.02.13)
[Morning Entry]

…… grateful for a simple thing.. there was a time when I went for complexity.. not sure why.. maybe simple meant boring?.. it’s been said that simplicity is the mark of a good design.. I would tend to agree.. the simpler path, plan, or expression.. that’s what feeds my soul.. yesterday I went to town for errands, had a sandwich by the mountains for brunch, came home to put away groceries, said hi to a cat, and got the tipi ready for a Sepper.. welcome Sambob!.. He’s staying two weeks..

POST 544 (DAY 554, Monday, 2022.02.14)
[Morning Entry]

…… grateful for kindness.. someone brought us donuts.. someone else brought us cake.. someone sent us electric bicycles.. someones assembled  those bicycles.. someone wiped the kitchen counter after use.. someone started the fire.. someone made a meal.. someone put together a cheese, crackers, and nuts package.. it goes on and on.. and somehow I don’t think this is enough—actually, I think this is MORE than enough! .. did ya catch that? There’s just so many things that makes living here a wonderful experience.. I can’t help but think what else could i possibly need?.. we have so much.. and we’re getting better each day.. and I’m just trying to keep up with the excellent people who surround me here.. I’m doing my darndest :).. of course we each have our individual strengths.. until I find out what mine is, I’ll just keep helping the best I can and bringing my best attitude whenever, wherever I show up.. oh and someone brought us kittens—twice!.. have a lovely lovely lovely day ~
