Here is my submission for the Nest - Sand - Oil Wooden Kitchen Utensils BB.
To document the completion of the BB, I have provided the following:
- I oiled 5 wooden utensils, 3 cutting boards, and 3 knives.
- I used coconut oil as recommended by the #AskWardee video
- a before picture of the wooden kitchen utensils
- an action shot of you oiling one of the kitchen utensils
- an after picture of all the wooden kitchen utensils you oiled
I allowed a shinny coat of oil to sit on things for about an hour then put items into a warm oven for 20 minutes to heat the oil. I then added more oil to the cutting boards (areas that were dry) and two of the spoons and allowed it to soak in for 20 more minutes before wiping them down. The other items just needed to be wiped down to remove extra oil.
After I finished and showed my sister, she was thrilled as she had been thinking about replacing the cutting boards. She didn't know about oiling them and really liked her 'new' boards.

First time oiling my wooden utensils, like many others I didn’t know this was a thing! Enjoyed the process and happy to keep my things taken care of. Olive oil is the oil I used. Snuck in an extra knife in between the before and after.
