What is Maple Syrup good with besides pancakes and waffles?

I think Maple Butter would be great on toast.

To me Maple syrup is almost like gold.

Any other suggestions?

In a pan glaze with miso and shoyu for carrots, Brussles sprouts, etc.

In lieu of simple syrup if you're mixing an Old Fashioned cocktail using rye instead of corn-mash whiskey.

It's also a good starting place for candying nuts.

I don't know if the idea for it came from her Depression-era upbringing but mother used to make us peanut butter sandwiches in which the peanut butter was mixed with maple syrup. She did grow up near some Mennonite colonies and they were known to use it on occasion, so maybe from there?  I agree it's like gold....was it more common and plentiful in North American past?  Something about that flavor with a pancake/waffle breakfast that includes bacon/sausage just can't be matched!....

It's my only sweetener for coffee, cocoa and tea at home.  It's a large component of my homemade lemon-aid. That could be because I make 12 gallons most years and I don't have bees or sugar canes.
